I didnt doubt he would be influential and effective on the pitch, I just wasnt sure of Jerry Collins the person. He can be such a dirty player, cheating in every way in order to win. Collins wasn't a dirty player. He didn't bite, eye gouge, or pull testicles. He did go high now and again, but they weren't intentional. Collins is mentally tough though, having been coached by his father, I can personally vouch for that.

Yeah, he is big! I only met him very briefly to get a photo after the Ospreys v Connacht match in Galway, Ireland on 4/9/09, and I felt really little standing beside him. He struck me as a really down to earth fella........great guy, awesome rugby player. ;)
