Any home-built, three-wheeled, electric "bicycle" that makes a Japanese crotch rocket motorcycle look safe by comparison gets two thumbs up from me! Cool project. Juvenile? Yes. Stupid? Absolutely. Manly -- without a doubt. Can't wait to see what you dream up next.

Aloha AJ, looks like great fun! As a yank its weird to watch you on the left side of the road. Makes it look even more dangerous. And I agree with the first guy, You Rock!
Thanks mate... That "shit" music is one the worlds best rock bands Australia's AC/DC That sort of talk in a Pub down here would get thrown out on your ass hahahaa...cheers matey
In 1991 i blew a front tire on a Yamaha TT350 hit two lamp posts, busted pelvis in 16 places broke my back in 2 places shattered left knew broke left arm spent 11 months in hospital ..
Hey Jester, fantastic story and accomplishment, my hat goes off to you man. Electric power is where its at, and your bike is a fantastic look into the future. You've shown that everyone can have a cool form of transport if they have a bit of vision and are not afraid to take some chances. Your showing the way to get the job done right....Cheers
kissmyhho...cheers mate ;-) i'm more iinterested in oober fast accelration. Im an ex-motorcycle racer so am very well aware of what happens when comming off at speed :: wink:: this frame is also built out of ALOT heavier tube than your average bicycle ;-) ... if your not already a member of endless sphere website join up some fantastic fellas there with same interests as ourselves and a HEAP of recumbent riders, Thx again for your interest :-)
just a quick word to say well done. i have had my trike recumbent upto 70 kmh and i beleive it will do over 100kmh. it is 48 volt with a 35amp speed controller. one word of warning though. if you have an accident at these speeds you will have big problems. i am only interested in under 50kmh as these light wheels and frames frames can not handle unexpected bumps in the road and as you increase the speed the forces become exponential . example 40kmh = 1 force and 80kmh= 15 times the force
jinprice09...Have had it upto 79km/hr thus far using second gear, i have 3 gears but until now (yesterday) i haven't had a shifter installed and wasn't able to change through the gears when 'mobile' Shall have some new top speeds coming soon i think...off to finish fitting brakes and electrics now...
kingboyok & rainey06au appreciate the interest and comments ;-) Keep an eye out i hope to have new footage up within the next week or so of complete re-built/painted and lightened trike (80% back together now) Shall DEFINITELY have that 100meter run up to kingboyok..cheerz again fellas ;-)
HAHA cheers Yorky but your wrong YOU F*****G ROCK!!11111 Happy with the performance choppersrule1 will be alot quicker on the downhill runz when i can get second and third gear, i have hit 79km/hr in second before so its well capable...i think 90-100kmkm/hr would be doable in 3rd...now, whether I personally want to be on the trike at that speed remains to be seen... cheers fellas..
