@Reinisen Billy was playing Rick's checkered Hamer, the same one that is on the cover of Dream Police. It's explained the Music for Hangovers DVD, audio section.
I could hear this song 24/7. I love this song. This is good enought to be a Beatles song. About a year ago, everybody that came over, had to sit and listen to this song. Absolutely Beautiful.
He realy doesn't age either. I think he's a mutant. A really nice mutant, but mutant none the less.
Back when I worked with CT, walking into a rock club on a night off, with Robin, was a hoot: He's walk in and half the women. at least, would have their heads spining around at about 3000 RPM's. The other half would fall off their chairs. Hilarious. He's just want to jam with the band.
I have the DVD of their Chicago gig (music for hangovers). Got a real laugh seeing Robin talking and cleaning his Glock at the same time at what looked like an indoor firing range,Cool. Reminded me of Ted Nugent :-)
Cheap Trick started in 1974 so he's into this more than 35 years, Still sounds pretty good. I got to see them live about 3-4 times late 70s early 80s and they were awesome - blisteringly loud
this has got to be my favorite song, I listen to it all the time, this version ofcourse is the best. It makes me think of this of this girl I know, I love when songs make your heart fill the music thats true tallent. Cheap Trick shall always remain legends of ROCK!!!!!!!!
The GREATEST Rock-N-Roll band of all time!!!! And Robin Zander is from the GREAT city of Beloit, which is in the county of Rock, WI!!! Hello Wisconsin!!
I'm old enough to remember this band throughout all of the phases of their career.
I remember when they were playing to 25 people in smokey bars in Chicago and going to Japan and playing to 10,000 fans who knew the words to their songs.
I remember when they blew up in the midwest and then the entire U.S.
One of the coolest things I've seen in this band is their genuine desire to continue to make good music no matter if they're playing to 25, 250, 25,000 or 250,000 people!
this version of the song is on the cd "the essential cheap trick" that's the only version i've ever heard of mandocello, to be honest, so i can't compare it to other recordings, but yeah, i love it all the same.
This track was performed live at Metro, in Chicago, and can be found on Cheap Trick , "Music for Hangovers". Billy Corgan came onstage to help the band do a rendition of Mandocello that night(Smashing Pumpkins opened for Cheap Trick on the 3rd night, of 4 sold-out shows -circa the release of SP's "Adore").
actually this is where he got his start, on cheap trick essentials

What does Corgan actually do on this track? Is he singing this? He sounds EXACTLY as the record...

I don`t get it,
how can Zander`s voice still not drop an octave or wear down at all after what, 25 years?
