i think BOTH, they have the same plot but different attack on it form me meteor garden i think their target market are those 18 and above they make it some what diff. from the manga so the comparison won't affect them so much unlike HYD it's a cute relationship and that's really jap. drama do like an anime/manga theme, and i am a fan of these 2 drama's i haven't watch the korean version by the way i really love this 2 drama♥♥

HYD was the best because the acting was better, in other dramas i watch sometimes i will skip boring parts but i never did that. Overall it had smooth transitions and was perfect. Its still my favorite drama

BOF was ok. Jan di i honestly thought she was crazy. No joke i would keep questioning her sanity. Some parts were boring and wasnt as smooth. And i liked the friends romance more then the main characters.

Heres how i see it. Meteor garden was fine but it had lots of parts where i just wanted to skip and was bored. It also seemed like they had some unessesary episodes, and same with Boys over flowers. In that i didnt even like the main characters romance better i thought her friends romance was more interesting. In hana yori dango i thought they did just an amazing job, it was funny, cute, and absolutley great.

@anime0pop well meteor garden was still cool among all. from the version of korean and the original japan version. meteor garden has it all, no deleted scene, no short cut. its perfectly good. every one has a scene, the 3 boys were given a chance to show what there true felling is..amazing version & amazing cast.

You got that right! HYD was just so well cast. Especially the leads. Meteor Garden gets props for being first, but I don't understand what the whole hype with Boy Over Flowers is. i've watched the meteorgarden as well as the boys over flower, actually the korean version is also a nice drama to watch to, but after watching the hanayori dango season 1 and season 2 and the movie as well i found out that hanayori has the best story ever among the other versions...they have the best endings...both season 1 and season two, especially when the time that tsukasa proposed 2 tsukushi! the BEST!...and it really stolen my heart, love to watch it all over again!

I never watched Meteor Garden, but I always liked Japanese dramas b/c they have less episodes than Taiwanese and Korean. Even the amount of episodes of Hana yori dango seasons 1 and 2 don't even add up to the amount of episodes of Meteor garden or Boys over flowers, lol.
