The horns that this band are playing are not celtic pipes or horns, they are slavic... Is there similarities between Eastern European, and Western European folk music? Most definitely, as many of the ancient customs are very similar. but to say that their music is taken from Celtic stock is dead wrong, it is purely Traditional Slavonic.. Krew, Honor i Slawa!!

@Szordrin14 there is a similarity between the bag-pipes, horns, and percussion to the ones of Keltic/Gillak and Viking. the link is most likely, through my knowledge, passed to both the Kelts and the Slavonic and Lithuanians/Sarmatija by the Sarmatians. Sarmatians did have relations with the Slavs and Lithuanians(who state to be called "Sarmatija" Land of Sarmatians) for they are one of the earliest Airiyans to be there. They also have had great relations with the Kelts...

that most through my research, could in fact be the original ancestors to the Kelts, them (Sarmatians) and Scythians who are related (Sarmatians being a branch of Scythic). These bag pipes are very similar to the ones of Kurdestan and Southern Iran - called "Nay-am-bun". and since the Sarmatians are linked to Scythians and since the Scythic language is very close to N. Iranian, the chance of the Nay-am boon or one similar to it being passed to the Scythians and Sarmatians and ...

another thing about the bag-pipes being played in this video is the notes and tempo it's playing in. just because two instruments sound similar doesn't make it the same, there are other factors - one major one being the notes/key and way it plays, in this video, if i were only to hear the bag-pipes play and not know that it was Slavic, i would 100% think that it is Keltic, that's how much it sounds similar - through notes and sounds of them. another factor would be the shape ...

@Szordrin14 shape and method of playing - bag-pipes are very unique compared to other instruments, for the method of it and shape of it - essentially "bag and pipes" thus, if this instrument is seen in many places, the odds of them being related is very high, that's why all the countries (or at least the ones i know) that have the main skeleton of bag-pipes are all Airiyan and linked. that's for bag-pipe, now percussions are also the similar deal. the drum instrument that is played vertically...

vertically, i don't know the name of, is also another vry similar instrument that Airiyans have. the Scandanavians have a very similar one, we Iranian/Kurds have one and essentially all the Germanic tribes most likely have it due to Scandanavians. The one that we have in Iran is almost identical to this one but it has one straight stick like this one but one stick that comes out like a sickle or a cane, it's called "do-houl" same sound essentially. This instrument is also similar .

Another thing that's not in the video but could be a major point for Lithuanian and/or Slavonic v.s. Keltic relations and that is the Kelt - clothing. if u go to the video to the right side called "Stary Olsa" and watch it, u'de see a lady standing right beside the male wood-wind performer wearing a similar clothing item as a Kelt but it wasn't a skirt but a shorter one...

In Iran we also have a similar clothing item as a Kelt called "Loung" it isn't a skirt, but it's a traditional item similar to a towel but more for decoration. Oh and another major point is the language spoken in this video, although i'm not so sure if this video is Lithuanian or Polish, and i greatly apologize, but i know it is either Lithuanian or Slavic, but this language (hearing it for the first time) sounds very similar to Keltic ..

@Szordrin14 Keltic - Gillaki/Gaelic and Scandanavian. just the singer's tone and language sounds like the two languages which are linked. Although i know as a fact that there are many Graeco-Roman words in this music, but i distingush them from the more ancient Lithuanian or Slavic ones which sound similar to the Gillaki/Gaelic and Scandanavian language. but at the end, i know without doubt that Kelts and Sarmatija/Lithuanians are related greatly, but not so sure about Slavic they are though ...

And also the word "Sarmatija" is another brilliant discovery i made to my self in which "ja" is another replacment for "an" (lANd) and in Persian
