i realy don't get this. i love dbz, i really do. And i also love bardock. But i dont find that this episode lived up at all. I liked it better when bardock died because it gave the implication that frieza was truly evil annd that by desetroying frieza, goku would avenge his father. And i at least need an explanation on how a giant blast can magically send you back in time. It was an ok episode but i would have preferred that bardock died.

@vwjboy How so? In the Saiyan lore, there where 2 races. One was huge and powerful, one was small and used technology. Vegeta explains that when he explains how they turn into giant apes. These races are over a thousand years later. In short, Bardock is the only Saiyan on the planet atm.

Legendary Super Saiyan destroyed their (Saiyans) original homeworld and is what Vegeta was brought up knowing. This seems to be what Frieza was brought up on and is afraid of.
