  • Hey Matt good to see some sliding on short boards with hard wheels. Been wanting to get back on board for ages. I'm gonna be rusty but I'm sure it'll be like riding a bike..... you never forget!

  • @lngbrder888 Family is very well thanks. Don't really get out on the hills tho.... the usual things happened I changed job n work away so weekends are much shorter n more precious. Really wanna get back to doing some sliding tho always love watching it n know I have so much more stuff to learn n relearn..... surfings been going well tho N.devon gets hit up often. Will have to get out on the hill sometime be good to catch up with the old crews....: )

  • @njapostol What do you mean by longboard? Thats me in blue and white in the video on a longboard. Its only 34" but I would still call it a longboard! :-)

  • @lngbrder888 oh right. i normally class a long board as about 40" or longer e.g. loaded dervish. amazing riding btw. is your weight on your sliding foot or on the pivoting foot. i need to learn how to do it so i can hit some better hills lol

  • @njapostol For most of the stand up slides you want your weight going straight down the middle of you and through the middle of the board. This means that you are nice and stable and you can then start playing with manual stand up slides. It will also give you nice and clean 360's rather than pivots. Just watch loads of videos and get out and practice!!
