You're no bad! But you've got a couple of wee bits wrong:

when Cornwelll sings 'Nice n sleazy does it' you play B A G F# on the bottom E string;

and when he sings 'nice n sleazy does it everytime' (at about 1.10) don't sit on the A note, JJ plays a bunch of A's then D A D A D A - and again at 1.20.

Apart from that, you're quite good. Excellent sounf btw.

The only suggestion I'd make is to point the webcam face-on to the fretboard so we can see the frets more easily to pick-up exactly what your doing (not at an angle).

I heard this track for the first time back in late 70s... and when I DID hear it I fell backwards... I could not believe it... at the time this was so unique that it was unreal (and its still pretty unique actually).

As a direct result I bought myself a bass and never looked at any other instruments since... The bass rules.

A final point... even though I do not listen to Stranglers any longer I have to admit that this must be one of the best bass-lines ever.

This is rather good, as are your covers of other Stranglers stuff. So far from the younger generation we have a drummer (created2kill) a guitarist (Baronvon) a bassplayer (yourself) and a keyboard player (thenos4ratu) posting on youtube. If only you lot could get together, you could carry on when the first generation are too decrepit to do it. :D I don't think you live close to one another, sadly. hi,sorry cant post but ill try and explain it,you strike up a fast fanning of the open G with your plec hand then starting with G fret up the neck on the octave(double spot) you come down the neck at intervals ending with a (played together)open g and the d string fretted at third fret to give you that final chord for the drums..sorry i dont read music so cant be exact play around til it sounds right
