Since the Tudor dynasty, the idea of "artificial personhood" has existed for taxation purposes. So the statement that "a corporation is a person" is not entirely new or even incorrect, but the way that argument is wielded confuses the once clear distinction between "natural persons" and "artificial persons." Corporations were able to seize upon the fact that the 14th Amendment only specified that its protections extended to "persons," not "natural persons."

I've been attacked for criticizing Obama by other non-americans, if you can believe that. Non of these attacks ever address the contents of the argument.
