this is so cool....what do you use the retractable roof for? i love how you used all materials on hand,i do the same thing i have piles of things (reclaimed) waiting for me!!! ;)
It's cool you have reclaimed things waiting for you too =) If you collect things like I do it all add's up quick, besides why throw away good stuff, lol
As far as the retractible roof goes it probably will never be lowered down unless the city tries to give me a hard time (i hope they don't) It's nice to have a space like that to park under or work under. Its a dream come true.
Mike, it is an insult to call these works of art "sheds"...please change your video title accordingly LOL :D maybe something like "Micro-Magnum Storage Facilities" :)
your talent is simply amazing, always wished i could do that kind of work. I helped my friend Jim build my "shed" (16x20, two story) but I was definitely just the "helper", without his brains I could never have done it. he's like you, he can build anything.
You have a 2 story shed. Now thats something I would like to see. When I was 16 years old I wanted to add a deck to the top of my fathers camper, lol but he wouldent let me. He did however let me build some pretty crazy things though. My life time dream has always been to build a under ground room, aahhh one day...
Wow Mike... That is very impressive. Mind if I add it to our "shed channel"? We sell sheds and compete with folks that are handy enough to build their own, but after people see all you did... we'll sell more! (lol) Thanks for sharing it with us
@DoreenKorwin I dont mind if you add this to your YouTube channel. As long as it has a link to my channel, lol but I think it will anyway.. Send me the link if its other then this channel......
Thanks for the complament, you made my day. Yeah, I hope you can sell atleast one shed with my video being the reason. I would think a shed like mine would not come cheap. Tell others to use caution with a retractabe roof as it can be very dangerous....Mike
@klicky2 Good question. Well I have three answers for this okay. 1. The city inspector said the sheds cant have a permanent roof between the two but they didnt say I coudent have a retractable roof, lol. 2. If sometime in the future I get a tall boat or RV I will be able to still park it there. 3. I love a good challenge and this seemed like something I could do and have a little bit of cool factor built into it. All I need is to figure out how to make them go up and down with a push of a button
It took me about 3 months not including the retractable roof which took me 1 week. If the sheds has T1-11 siding for the exterior it would probably only take 40 hours to build wach shed not including the foundation blocks. Those blocks took time to get perfectly level with each other. The cost is unknows since I had alot of the materials already but I guess I may have about $2000 in it all together. Thats cheap for all that I got...
Most amazing creativity and craftmanship. Wtg!

Well, when it starts to rain, and the "middle roof" is up, how will the rainwater be leaded?
