I think those sinks are a lot better than those really long ones with the curved front that are suppose to be "wheelchair accessible". With those I can never actually reach the tap to turn the water on, because although I can roll all the way under then, I'd need arms that were extremely long to reach to turn the water on. The soap and paper towels are usually located near the taps too, so these are also un-reachable!
If you check our accessibility photo gallery of Oasis of the Seas on our website (listed in our profile), you'll be happy to see the space in the cabin by the bed. Also, as well as all of the informatio we post online to benefit consumers, we have even more detail and tips for our clients who book Oasis through our agency.
Great video. This was very helpful. I was curious to know how the bathrooms were going to be in the handicapped rooms. Thank you for posting. Both my wife and I are very appreciative. Any more pics or videos would be great.
Great to do a video on the single most amenity on a cruise ship for somebody with a mobility impairment and their companions. We would all love to see more like this.
Glad it was helpful. We can't do anything about the sink depth for those who find the underneath not deep enough, but we are able to obtain toilet raisers and showerchairs if those are needed for comfort or safety.
Hello, I want to book a trip with friends on the Allure of the Seas. People in wheelchairs have a discount?

All this fine, but how much room is there next to both sides of the bed for transfer from chair to bed. There needs to be at least 80cm all round.

Helpful video. I had been concerned, but it looks like the bathroom on this ship could work for our needs.
