We are mos def spoiled by Kobe's game. So much so that hardly anyone gives him the credit he deserves anymore. He's as clutch as wade+lebron combined, his list of ppl hes dunked on is right up there with jordan, and his mid-range game is second to none. What does Lebron have? In my opinion, Kobe IS the NBA! In my opinion, when Kobe retires, the NBA will lose business, the play-offs, the finals, the annual All Star game will, WITHOUT QUESTION, LOSE ITS "SHOWMANSHIP," and, maybe, JUST MAYBE, the Lakers will be "just another team" on the NBA roster-just like the Bulls after Jordan retired. Yes, in my opinion, Kobe IS that RARE of a player! In fact, in my opinion, Kobe's style of playing (basketball) is as rare as his name!

@87lakersdodgers No way. MJ is still the greatest but to say Kobe has an argument is saying something. He's good. I'd still take Mike over Kobe any day. 50 percent from the field his whole career. Kobe doesn't do that. Jordan dominated the game. His D was insane. Kobe is the next best thing as far as style of play and ability but if you were a GM and had a fountain of youth and you could choose between MJ in his prime for your team or Kobe in his ...you'd take Kobe? I think he can shoot a much better percentage, and I dont know how much of a factor that finger played, but I think he has it in him....the only thing that ever stops Kobe is Kobe.

@face6iny Bro you gotta remember...45% career is NOT bad...the only people that usually shoot better than that are bigs- Centers and PF's get higher percentage shots from the post and in the paint like 75% of the time. Shaq's a 58% career field goal shooter. Think about how many dunks LeBron gets...Kobe takes those in jumpers. We should just admire his ability to to persevere despite that handicap.

LBJ is great, and anyone who says he's not is a moron, but he isnt even in the same breath as Kobe. In the JV conference of the league, lebron has managed to get to the finals once, and the west opponent that he went up against left no doubt that lebron didnt belong there. All Im saying is, put Kobe in the East, where 80% of the teams have losing records, and you would get consecutive 75 win seasons. I know im going over a little, but i really think it would happen.

and what about the playoffs? Yeah granted we the east have alot of teams that have losing % but what about the playoffs?? Who does LA have to worry about? Denver and thats it. LA had troubles getting through houston. What if they had to go through the Magic? Celtics? Cavaliers? Hawks? hell even the Bulls are scrap fighters in the playoffs.

yeah you have a point there but the utah jazz is a very physical team and hard to beat @ home and the spurs i know they are old but they are very well coached also the suns... this are all good teams that can give the lakers lots of trouble and like you said the bulls are scrapy you can say the same about the rockets oh and we also have to deal with the high scoring mavericks man.. so yeah i would say that the lakers have to worry about alot of teams in the playoffs....
