@Jayho74 You're a fucking moron, of course it doesn't take AK mags, it's not a fucking AK. A mini 14 doesn't use AR15 magazines so does that mean it's bad? The VZ mags are cheaper for me, I bought 8 for $13 a piece, all my AK47 mags were $20-$25. At least the fucking bolt holds back, how fucking dump it doesn't hold back on AK47. let's talk about the weight, My VZ58 is 6.33lbs my Norinco AK was 8.3lbs, 2 lbs less. Even my AK74 from Arsenal is 1lb heavier.
This not a clone it is an entirely different rifle. Also this rifle originates in the late 1950, hence VZ-58. It is neither AK nor AR which is appealing. VZ-58 mags for $15 per are common enough you might have to search fir five minutes though.
5.45 is cheap right now $145 per 1080rds, you will shoot it more. I am happy with my VZ-58 but you should probably get the AK-74 first. Do not buy a CAI Polish Tantal though, seious QC issues there.
just to remind you, soldiers are trained to listen on "clicks" so when you are surouded by enemy, even cocking your gun can give you away.. so forgot about clicking.. tru professionals trying to use gun as much silently as possible.. even more ratling and clicking sounds wapon reveal even less quality.. try to shake with ak, and after try 58, you will see what am talking about..
listen, samopal vzor 58 is far more better gun than ak47 and also completly diferent, its has been independently developed.. you cant use ak clip on it.. its diferent gun..
Tested mine and have 0 issues. As to whether it is as reliable as the AK is hard to verify not many records of the VZ-58 in combat exist. During the war in the Balkans AKs seem to be the wapon of choice. Internally the VZ-58s tolerances are tighter but I have little doubt that it is not more reliable than in M-16 mainly due to its gas system. The VZ-58s only limitation is its calibre in my view. It is sub 200 meter cartridge.
Budget??? AK is cheaper and has cheaper more available accessories. 7.62X39 is a sub 200 meter cartridge thus either gun is limited, I would not spend $1700 on a Galil conversion in 7.62X39, the VZ at $800 is a lot more reasonable. The VZ is more accurate with the same ammo and it has a bolt hold feature the AK does not. The VZ is around 2 lbs lighter as well the mags are lighter but just as bulky. Sights identical. Recoil more in the VZ though niether is bad. That said your budget is?
VZ-58s approach 1000 euros there? Damn! Even with devalued dollar they still sell VZs from the fatory here for around $850 USD and $600+ Canadian. The Canadian price should be closer to what you pay there. VZs in the USA have to have U.S. parts thus driving up the price.

Milled AK47s can be just good as this rifle if not better. Btw, you can get Yugo magazines for an AK so the bolt holds open at the last round. I would agree that VZ 58 is lighter and probably more accurate. And you say "Uhhh" alot in this video.
Bolt hold on a Yugo is caused by the elevated follower in Yugoslavian mags, not the rifle itself. I ought to know I own one, you can see it in the video, do you? Also Yugos are not milled most AKs are not. Milling does not really improve the accuraccy either. Like I said the round is very limiting. My only gripe with the VZ is the stock itself, I want something more substantial like the Czechs use now, it is a black composite material. Can't find them in the states. Know where I can?
I didn't say it was milled you said AK weres cheaper so I mentioned quality ones like a milled one. Misunderstanding. If the accuracy is better on a milled AK I can't say for sure. As for yur question I haven't seen any stocks like that for sale.
Have prices are a tad uhh optimistic. Also not sure about shipping gun parts from Canada to the U.S. State department is funny about shipping firearm parts into the U.S. Not sure it would get here.
@AKlover looking for my 1st SHTF rifle and its between the Arsenal Ak or VZ 58. i'm not going to be blasting full auto, just semi, and wondering if either heat up more or less to the point u cant hold the handguard. And as for recoil which has more. Any suggestions apreciated.
Recoil impulse is more noticable in a VZ-58, if you can get a model with a threaded barrel a compensator/brake would be much more relevant than it would with an AK. Never seen or heard burning handguards on a VZ no a non-FA AK. Rail systems should give ample ventilation with either.
VZs generate quite a bit of smoke when firing fast.
Comps/brakes would be best with the VZ for optimum follow ups.
I love my AKs but they are beaters for the most part, $1000 Arsenals are still just AKs. Buy a Romanian or Yugo and a piule of mags and keep the AKs as backups. I'd push you towards a 5.45 AK if you are determined to go the AK route.

Can you tell me is that true? Thank you!

Standard folding stock flexes, spend some money on the composite folder or M-4 stock if it will be your main/Go-To weapon.
There is a company that makes a rear site that intergrates into the stock mount I would get it for a longer site radius.
