I flew from Johannesburg to LHR on 26/11/10, and there was an SAA 747 in the door of one of the hangers at JNB. Has SAA started using them again? Anyone know?
Rui, you always have awesome videos!! I have saved all your videos on my cellphone. I am a South African and am very sad that our national carrier(SAA)has recently pulled out all 747s from its fleet due to political reasons. These planes were amazing. I now use British Airways for my overseas trips.

@cam9408 SAA has bought back 5 new 747's 4 the world cup but the issue is still pending on whether they will be in service soon enough!

Those engines were very quiet when the plane revved up for take-off, I'm surprised, different story with a DC-10.

at about the 2:40 minute mark it looks like the left landing gear is already going in!!
