Wolverine was originaly a failed samurai so it makes sense that he might return to Japan. Some people may actualy have made the conection, Wolverine's claws are styled after a Japanese weapon called the Tekko-Kagi. He has been to most places in the world and knows a bunch of languages but he was married to a woman in Japan and had a son with her, so he has some deep seeded roots in Japan although he was born in Alberta Canada, so since everyone in Canada knows eachother, were pretty tight.

Last I checked, besides Spiderman, Marvel properties just aren't big over there. Marvel's doing a bunch of wacky experiments to make a version of the Marvel characters that works (who isn't Spiderman).

I'm assuming translated versions of comics are already available in some form and just don't do exceedingly well.

@metaXzero Marvel comics were translated and aren't doing as well as they do in America, but they still sell more than you'd think.And as I stated, most Japanese people know of marvel comics characters because of the MVC games.

I'm not opposed to Marvel anime and manga, I am opposed to butchering the series like they have done here and in Ironman. The reason the comics have not done as well as they could have is because They started translating them in the middle of story arcs and skip issues

If they are selling so much that Marvel has no business changing it, then stuff like this wouldn't exist. But the fact is this exists, therefore at least in Marvel's eyes, unchanged Marvel properties don't do as well as they want them to. And last I checked, the Marvel vs Capcom games are the least popular VS games over in Japan.

I doubt their is one specific reason why Marvel properties don't flourish as much in Japan. Its more likely multiple issues including that one.

Yo me concidero como gran seguidora y purista de Wolverine, y al ver este trailer pues no niego que es impresionante y radical el cambio por no decir un total cambio a Logan, si me lo preguntan yo me quedo con el original siempre, pero eso no quiere decir que este nuevo logan sea malo, hay que verlo primero y juzgarlo despues, se que muchos diran que parece un samurai japones, y tienen razon pero vamos si queremos ver la misma historia, veamos una y otra vez los comics y la animacion no?
