First of all sola scriptura is not found in the Bible, so literally everything you just said is null and void. Sola fide again made up. If you had a full Bible you would see in maccabee's that we are to pray for the dead. And in the psalms King David asks for prayers of angels and asks that they pray with him. The only way to determine whether an apparition is a "lying wonder" or a genuine message from God is to compare the apparition with Scripture. If the teachings that are attached to these apparitions are contrary to the Word of God, the apparitions themselves are then satanic in nature.

The image has been. The date is accurate. However, the constellation of the stars being accurate with that December 15 and the fact that this had no brush strokes, it was very easy for this to be approved by the Vatican.

My question has always been the old atheist chestnut "How can 'insert deity here' hear all the prayers if they are being petitioned at the same time?" and wondered how Mary, not being omniscient or omnipresent, could hear and trans-mediate the prayers to Jesus. Catholics venerate (honor) Mary, but do NOT worship her. If we did, that would be idolotry, breaking the first commandment. When we pray to Mary, we are only asking her to pray for us. Haha, typical protestant mentality. Okay mr. bible scholar, now please keep reading exodus, and when you get to chapter 25:18 we see that God has commanded images be put on top of the ark. And in verse 22 the Father says he will meet with the priests above the images of the cherubim. Now move onto to chapter 26:31, and again we see God commanding images of yet again cherubim to be all over the tabernacle. Next time you feel like being ignorant know what you are talking about.

First of all sola scriptura is not found in the Bible, so literally everything you just said is null and void. Sola fide again made up. If you had a full Bible you would see in maccabee's that we are to pray for the dead. And in the psalms King David asks for prayers of angels and asks that they pray with him. The rosary is not a dogma, it is just a loved form of prayer, so its not binding or required.

Death does not separate us from the body of Christ, He defeated death, we ARE told to pray for each other. Mary is Holy, she is in heaven in order to be in heaven you MUST be completely Holy. And she is the new ark, the ark if you recall was so holy if anyone touched it that was not a priest they died instantly. The job of Mary is found in the wedding at cana. She brings things before her Son, and then points to Him and says "what ever he tells you, do it" Mary's job is to point to Christ.

If you are implying that the catholic religion gave us the bible you are a sinner for even saying that. . The Catholic Church tried to take credit for what the Lord did without their help. History lesson. The Old Testament was written by Moses, David and Solomon, prophets, seers and kings. There was no "church" of any kind to claim responsibility for it. God inspired individuals to bring God's word to the people. The Old Testament is the recorded revelation of God up until about 400 BC.

The only way to determine whether an apparition is a "lying wonder" or a genuine message from God is to compare the apparition with Scripture. If the teachings that are attached to these apparitions are contrary to the Word of God, the apparitions themselves are then satanic in nature.

Not all of them agree & no photographic evidence.I said most of them were irrational thinkers,but i kind of meant uneducated.People back then jumped to conclusions because they weren't as educated as we are now.They didn't scrutinise because they didn't have the ability.I think you should research the children & look up the definition of self disipline.They did hurt themselves as a result of their hallucinations.That would be classed as crazy and they would be put in a straight jacket nowadays.

Also, they top it off by matter-of-factly stating that Catholics worship Mary, when Catholics honor and venerate her as someone who prays for them and leads them to God--always.

Scientists proved that the image itself is made of material unknown material, there are no brushstrokes. It has survived for 500 years when tilmas typically survive only 15. The image as endured an amonia stain and an explosion. The eyes of the image of Mary are the refelction of the councel that Juan Diego appeared before. The fibers on the tilma have grown back when removed. I mean... even to a skeptical person like me... that's pretty rocky proof. read the wikipedia page.

The image has been. The date is accurate. However, the constellation of the stars being accurate with that December 15 and the fact that this had no brush strokes, it was very easy for this to be approved by the Vatican.

My question has always been the old atheist chestnut "How can 'insert deity here' hear all the prayers if they are being petitioned at the same time?" and wondered how Mary, not being omniscient or omnipresent, could hear and trans-mediate the prayers to Jesus. I do think she is a saint and her spirit is in paradise. I would be a really bad cafeteria Catholic if I still went to mass. People investigating the words of man or woman against the Word of God should always be first priority.

i saw someone mention that Mary isn't their mother. It's ignorance for a Christian to say this. We are One Body, the Body of Christ. Jesus is Mary's Son.. thus in a special way we are His Brothers (He called us this).. this makes Mary our Spiritual Mother and is why He gave us to Her at the cross. To deny Her this is to say that you're not of the Body of Christ, you're not Jesus' brother, and you're ultimately separating yourself. If She's good enough for Jesus, She's good enough for me.
