@MIKEF0X1 Mike - Thanks alot for checking it out and you kind comment. It means alot. That is very cool that played this on your set. This song in one of the best. In fact my rock band's name is Flirting With Disaster and we play this tune. One of my favorites to play for sure....a great high hat sequence....thanks again....Nick
Dude... Why the hell did you put this on here? At least get it right if your going to “show the world" your face melting talent.. Molly would shoot you!!
@2112Benny Hey....thanks so much for the kind words....I thought this 999th take came out ok. You can't bullshit a bullshiter my friend. Thanks.... I think..... for the thumbs up and for putting me in your fav's.......Nick
@turkeystreettom Thank you so much for checking it out and for your very kind comments. It is a great driving Southern Rock tune....One of the best in my opinion.......It's a fun one to drum to.......Nick
@aspen493 Thanks for the tip about the bass drum. Next time I listen to the song I will focus in on the kicker. I have played it several times in band practice and at a recent gig and I am more comfortable with the h hat parts. I am sure there are several areas that I don't drum note for note. It comes down to how much time I invest in listening and disecting the song down beat to beat. Thanks for your help. That '68 Dodge Dart on your channel must scream...1/4 mile time & top end???
@SmoggMusic Thanks Sammy. Another one that we used to play in the band was Dreams I'll Never See. It is a slow tune but a nice one. You would do very good on the MH covers. You have the strong pipes for it. Thanks buddy, Nick
@karenmuenchen Thanks Karen !!! Oh don't worry I will be singing again. Probably will go back to that more during the winter months as it is too cold to drum in the basement of our home. Sunny, hot and humid here :-))
The intro hi hat part is tough to play. I am not sure the guy on the original recording had a terribly good sense of time. However, it is a cool song with a great vibe. Your version of the drums is probably better than the original.
@SonorSonicFan Hey Erik...thanks for watching and commenting. You are exactly right about the h hat part. That lick runs it's course a few times during the song as well as the beginning. That is the exact lick that I am working on. I used to play it a different way which sounded pretty good and the timing was right on but it wasn't the way it was really played technically. So now I can start improving the song by focusing in on that part. With enough practice I will smooth it out. Thanks again
@readyeddy101 you need to open the hi-hat when you hit the bass pedal.

As always, you seem to pick pretty good material.
