I have my own opinion onthe process of mummys! did noone realize they took out all organs that could litrally contain dna and the blood aswell and put them safely in pots!

think about it! the mummy was not the important thing here it was the dna they were preserving!

no they did not replace the heart with a stone. they removed the heart and kept it in a small conatiner and was buried in the tomb with the body

wrong they did not remove the heart, the heart stayed in the body, they removed the liver stomach intestines and lungs and put them in canopic jars that were to be buried with the mummy, but the heart stayed were it was. they believed that the heart was going to get weighed and this determined if they got into the afterlife or not. so they left the heart.
