  • ahhh i remember thisfrom my 12 of the greatest cartoons vhs

  • That goose is soooo cute! ^_^

  • Felix kind of looks, sounds and act like a little kid. So its possible is Felix is young in these pictures.

  • The Golden Egg that Laid the Goose.

  • 5:59 "WHY YOU LITTLE-"

I was expecting the pirate to strangle Felix... if you know what I mean

  • I like the pirates' song. I've ended up randomly singing to myself every now and then ever since I first saw this cartoon in the spring of 1987.

  • Felix >>>>>> Mickey

  • @MindOfCreativity Most people say that, right before they watch Felix the Cat the movie, then we don't know what they think after that because they kill themselves

  • @TheMusicMan1012 Oh believe me, I've seen that movie. It was ... horrible.

  • was this really from '36? Did they have TVS back then!?

  • @1Cor10x31media none that were commercially available, but prototypes existed for the rich folk. TV didnt go mainstream until the 1950's.

  • if you see in a certain way, the cartoon is full of political symbolism

related to great depression and the new deal policy

pretty inspiring! cause nowadays the same struggle is fought all over again...

  • Love happy endings lol! Cheers Billy ;)

  • Great

    Grandma Mary

  • Felix don't give a F*CK about inflation!

  • inflationnnnnn xD lol I love this cartoon

  • If only physics were this convenient and musical in real life!

  • HE HAS PEFECT AIMING OMG

  • You better lay those eggs! *Hong Hong! ;O"* thats what cartoons use to be :( :)

  • While Felix did a noble deed by helping the poor, he IS raising the inflation of the nation to the absolute max.

  • @wallykasp He's clearly a kid here, I doubt he knows how the economy works. :D

  • i thing captain kidd has a magnet attached to his hat and head cause that hat always falls right back on his head

  • did anyone notice the symbolism at the end with the pig catching all the bum's money through the hole in his hat?

  • @weevil3582 What would the mean?

  • im only twelve but i still love these old shows

  • Oh, lawd!! I remember this when I was a kid! I'm 17 now, but I had Felix the Cat and Porky Pig on VHS - good times!

  • 7:02 its porky pig!

  • I wish i was magic, just like Felix!

  • I can't stop thinking how sweet and cute those cartoon characters in the past are! I like modern day cartoon characters, too. But, the oldie ones look so simple and innocent!

  • @NeoNayLinn

Have you seen the older Felix cartoons from the 1920s? Depression, suicide, public intoxication, DUI, an inordinate number of handguns.... Felix had seriously mellowed by the 1930s, lol!

  • @IntoAMystery Well, in that case, I'm not searching for any of those horrible things so I don't need to know that. :)

  • that funing

  • I wish there were such a goose :( but felix would be the only one who could be entrusted with it though. Some people would be too greedy with it.

  • Yeah.. why didn't Captain Kid just take the golden eggs too..

  • gooodness! Felix is sooo cute when he hid in the barrel!!!!! <3

  • i remember i had this and many other calssics on tape

this sure beats the hell out of spongebob

  • @gurlzrool do u know tha name of the tape?

  • @gurlzrool me too, good times

  • @gurlzrool Naut wrong with spongebob, just becuase this is older doesn't mean its better.

  • 6:50 - it's 1923 Weimar Germany!

  • 5:17 through 5:32 Felix is an epic badass MoFo, there's no denying it!

milligansx01, Felix isn't a girl, you dope, if he was, he'd be named Felicia. Although he's clearly played by a woman's voice.

It is however worth a mention that it was actually illegal to own gold in the US when this was made (1936). You were supposed to not feel the need to own gold and to *trust* that the US government would uphold the gold standard into the indefinite future.... at 35 dollars an ounce. Ha ha ha ha.

  • @medexamtoolsdotcom he was voiced by a women, Mae Questel to be exact. though you probably know her better as Betty Boop or Olive Oyl

  • 4:07 I was gonna say... he had to use that cannon, I got a glimpse of it at 3:41. I was just like, ARE YOU A CARTOON OR WHAT?!?!

  • lol fishes making out =)

  • what?! I didn't know felix was a girl

  • what?! I didn't know felix was a girl

  • They're Mog Pirates

  • You bad pirate! !@$!@

  • Idiot Felix, you caused inflation.

  • I loved this cartoon when I was a kid. Props to whoever cleaned it up! Much better sound and picture than on the VHS I had.

  • @cjrgnsn is your tape have white crap on the tape, if it does, it has mold

  • if have to make a play of that for drama wish me luck

  • I used to have this on VHS! FUCK IT'S AWESOME!

  • i miss this show soo much! i watched this all the time as a kid and now it's gone :(

  • some guy below said in all caps "where was felix and that goose during the Great Depression?"

this was released near the middle of the Great Depression, and i think that gold approx $38 an ounce about that time?

do you think this may have been a response to the Gold Reserve Act of 1934 that gave Roosevelt the unconstitutional power to call in all privately owned gold for deposit in the U.S. Treasury?

  • what four dumb asses disliked this?!!?

  • hbbjtnbf b ub bkg bdbg hebrg iebv g u3wwg u 4hrygbb w heh gebg jug bnj. g 4b rtgyb 4 bfg rbg54g rb3 4vgbfghfb tggvb ggggt bggg tgvdf ubjt h ghubehg by3bg b8b yuberbguo bvb8bergbrbu hf ubg bthbbb brg b

  • It has to be a good 20 years since the last time I watched this! I used to watch my Felix movie with a bunch of other episodes and this one religiously! Forgot about it until now!

  • of all the voices for felix the 95 to 96 one was the best IMO

  • Great quality version. I'm very impressed.

  • Didn't Billy Bletcher do the voice of Captain Kidd?

  • I... remember this. Must've been years since I've seen this.

  • Aw, That poor goose has todo it's own accounting! lol. Love Felix, he's so cute

  • I remember watching a very long Felix cartoon when I was a kid. I remember it was very psychodelic and fun, but I can barely remember any of the images from the cartoon (I can just remember the awesome feeling I had watching it). I remember it had to do with some circus or something :)

if anyone has any idea which cartoon this might be, please tell me.

  • I KNEW THERE WAS A REASON I ALWAYS THOUGHT I COULD LIGHT A MATCH WITH MY BUTT!!!! I HAD THIS TAPE!! :-)

  • I take what i want and i want what i take MUAHAHAHAAA

  • I remember this now! This one was also on a tape that I watched a lot as a little kid oh so long ago. I loved Felix, Mickey and the gang, and the Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies bunch.

    Thank you!

  • Felix the "Socialist" Cat :-)

  • WE'RE GOIN' PLACES! :D

  • Ok, that is understood. Back when this cartoon came out, your relatives were probably running around in the jungle or something. You should watch more American cartoons and get a good education. :). Then, you can come over and take advantage of the services here and help make this a third world country like yours.

  • WHERE WAS FELIX AND HIS GOOSE DURING THE GREAT DEPRESSION!!!!!

  • @VengeanceOtaku probably causing it, if this cartoon anything to go by.

  • is Goosenapping a federal offense??

  • ahhh boy weh de fuck dem kids kno bout felix the cat, sorry but dem miss out

  • 3:14 alcoholic much?

  • oh my god!!!! i remember this when i was little i had all the tapes...i use to watch this all the time!!! i just love the old times in the 90's!!! this is an unexplainable feeling im having right now!!!

  • felix makes it rain

  • Did you know Felix was a gangsta!

  • Since the money is made from gold and are representing their own value. I dont think it will create much inflation until the demand for golds starts falling, and we must remember that there are also gold mines pooling quantities of gold out mainwhile. Yet I can emagine that the local demand has droped rapidly in this particulary erea.

  • @Sohave learn how to spell emagine - imagine, your grammar is bad

  • @randallscott6 If it has not occurred to you, Youtube is a worldwide phenomenon. You can’t expect everyone here to have English as their first language. I personally believe in the right of people to express their meanings across borders in an internationally wide used language even if they do a few misspells. I can’t but notice the commanding attitude as you are writing in imperative form “learn how to spell” Is this some kind of hobby to you?

  • its a frickin cartoon u idiots ! cartoons arent meant to follow any logic.

  • @joedanja This is especially true of the old theatrical shorts.

  • I....it....gold is very heavy..... you can't grind it up like...also inflation.....can someone explain why none of these old cartoons seem to follow any logic at all?

  • @Zilla10101042 its the cause a little something called IMAGINATION!!! look it up

  • pretty good system felix's got goin there :)

  • Such a good sound quality for an old cartoon like this! (L) Felix!

  • i was looking for a movie that contain alot of episodes including this one can anyone tell me the name of it?

  • @adolfo1514 50 Funny Cartoons? I had a VHS of it when I was younger! Can't find anything about it on google though....

  • Woah! Felix can even turn into a cannonball! This was back when Felix had his bag of tricks!

  • yaaay i love this cartoon :D I got it on vhs along w/ a bunch of other old cartoons, but this one is so great :D

  • @cicta um wat is that vhs called cause i think i had one wen i was little

  • how nostalgic i remember this being my favorite cartoon when i was 4

  • Oh pfft to all you lot about gold and economics etc, for feck's sake, it's a children's cartoon probably intended to teach them about generosity and greed.

The old cartoons are certainly much, much better than modern ones. I'm glad I was brought up with this sort of thing rather than today's rubbish!

  • @xMadamGuillotinex agreed

  • Felix is so cute =^.^=

  • @dummbatz48 yeah

  • Felix is so much better than Bugs Bunny.

  • lol i love Felix's face when Captain Kidd knocks on the door the first time. he's like "awww, i didn't get to finish rubbing my head against my goose" :(

  • I like Felix and all, but does anyone else find his voice obnoxious?

  • It's a CRTOON stupid. Not only that it was made in '36

  • Creating money out of nothing to give to people who don't work.

    lol, Felix is a socialist.

  • @Daniel91LC No, he is from the Labour Government

  • 2:34

Holy shit,at one moment i thought he was going to stab poor Felix D:

  • awwwwww...weak, but other than that a great cartoon.

  • Notice how just about everything the do goes in tune with the music....Felix is such a G!!! lol he even knows how to do the jerk abetween 5:20-5:25 hahaha XD

  • isnt it great how youtube can revive these golden age cartoons to show our youth who are sucked into the crappy animation today. i sure hope viacom understands

  • I STILL HAVE THIS ON VHS!!!

  • damn, yo. i had a Felix tape when i was younger. watched this and other episodes EVERYday...til my mom got sick of it and hid the tape forever

  • OPEH DA DOOR!

  • who is the felix's voice ?

  • that idiot felix has just caused massive inflation. FAIL.

  • @icexiangwu That was his plan all along. To bring the gold based economy to it's knees and pave the world for his new world order were cats will rool undisputed from from the thrones on the sills

  • @icexiangwu Its a friggen cartoon

  • @icexiangwu the idiot icexiangwu doesnt hav any imaination FAIL!!!

  • holy shit, we used to had an videotape of Felix The Cat and I used to watch this all the time, I'm seeing this now in like 10 years or something! This is classic shit!

  • felix is cute

  • man,i wish all cartoons are like this.but now its just techno this and tecnho that

  • To all of you complaining about the economic consequences of Felix's actions...You do realize this cartoon was made for children who probably wouldn't take such factors into consideration, right?

  • @Melissails so trueee. finally some1 says it :)

  • @Melissails Hard to believe, but these cartoons were made for a general audience, not (just) kids. It was literally a rule at the time-the Hays Office established that all entertainment had to appeal equaly to everyone. The reason these three Van Beuren shorts flopped is because they took a unique character like Felix and turned him into a bland funny animal. And i can vouch for that-pick up a copy of the book "Nine Lives to Live: Felix" and you'll see the original, unique Felix in his prime.

  • @SparkyMK3

I am well aware of what the original Felix was like, though that's beside the point, I was just pointing out the audience probably wouldn't take such matters into consideration because everyone was complaining about the economics of his actions.

  • Man I miss these cartoons!! Miss the "merry melodies"(?) 10-15 min clips of complete randomness. Spiders building webs, the singing, the whole shibang!

  • no computer to help made any of these cartoon. no technology at all except for technicolor lol. they had alot of time on there hands back then!

  • I can honestly say that before I saw this cartoon, I never saw a swordfight so heated.

  • @NinjaGhostScorpion XD i get it lol

  • People shouldn't give a flying crap about how financially illogical this cartoon is...its a Felix the Cat cartoon, a classic one as well! Just enjoy the show!

  • @metalWeirdo77 We do enjoy it, infact we enjoy it so much that we get a bit neardy with it :-)

  • felix4goose x

  • I can't believe I still know this cartoon by heart O_o

  • Amazing!

  • classic <3

  • Felix is destroying the motivation for those bums to work! He's like Obama, give all those people who don't wanna work everyone elses money! He's lucky the American taxpayers didn't pay for that damn goose!

  • @Matt19390 ur lucky i dont know wher u liv

  • Felix's "Relief Bureau" is the Fed and Felix is Bernanke only instead of giving money to the people Bernanke gives it to Wall Street Bankers and the people's expense.

  • WHAT WAS THE NAME OF THE CELEBRITY OSCARS PART THAT CAME AFTER THIS???????? that was AWESOME.

  • though its abit illogical but it's a classic!

  • Love it!

  • Felix is the one who causes inflation....

  • wow i have this on tape, i had no idea it was this old!

  • that pirate sure knows how to get really drunk... LIVER PLEASE =))

  • I need to get me one of those, gold ducks

  • i have this on a vcr tape with alot more cartoons lol

  • I take what I want, and I want what I take, Hawhawhaw!

  • inflation will make those gold coins worthless : )

    since everyone is rich now

  • felix was a socialist

  • We had this on VHS when I was small, used to watch it all through the 80's! It's amazing home much I remember of it

  • the goose would ruin the economy

  • Felix is clearly a socialist

  • My Name Is Felix Baby ; ) yeah how cool is that ?! go 2 my profile 2 add me on facebook :D

  • yeah fools! u dont gota be old to love this show! this is my families icon! felix the cat! we used to live in mexico and i remember i would watch this all the time. man, good times. i miss thos days. oh, and by the way, im only 16. FELIX FELIX FELIX!!!!!!

  • Omg. Do you know how many times I watched this as a kid? Like every day. I never thought I'd see it again! Thanks for posting!

  • How old are you???? this was made in 1936! My grandparents were in their teens....!

  • You don't have to be old to like this cartoon. I'm only 21 and I remember watching this when I was a kid. I loved it and still do. Ever seen Tom and Jerry? That show isn't exactly new and who HASN'T heard of it!

  • I watched it on video.

  • @wallstreetyoung Lololololololol my ninas grandma was born in 1925.

  • @MythrilWolf01 Dude... How old are you? 90?

  • If MythrilWolf had watched it as a kid in 1936, which he clearly didn't, he'd only be about 80 now....

  • Um...all I can think about is INFLATION.

  • @Kuli24000 what do you mean inflation?

  • @UberKyoPyro I was going to answer, but it looks like SparkyMK3 already explained.

  • lol this is too bad ass!!!

  • Ah I use to watch this a whole lot back when I had the VHS tape in the mid 90's. Good times.

  • niccccceeeeeeeee

  • Gold was about $40 per troy ounce then; it is about $1,200 now.

  • This is what Gordon Brown watched to formulate his ecnomic policies.

  • Uh, dosen't Felix realize that by creating all of those gold coins, he's basically making the gold worthless as a result thanks to a little thing called SIMPLE ECONOMICS?

    Otherwise, great cartoon.

  • Not if he's smart enough to sell them little by little and act as if they were rare like the people do in Africa with the diamonds.

  • Oh whoops. I replied to your comment before watching the cartoon.

    Scratch that. Haha.

  • Well probably not considering a gold mine produces way more gold than a goose ever could and you wouldn't think that gold's gonna become worthless because a new gold mine was just opened. I know you're joking tho and you made me laugh--I can't help being a stickler sometimes. :P

  • @SparkyMK3 LOL that's where last years' crisis started, it's chaos theory!

  • @SparkyMK3 its just a fuckinng cartoon dipp shit just enjoy it

  • @SparkyMK3

This was made back during the height of industry, no matter how much of it you produce you still turned massive profit.

  • @SparkyMK3

    but its still gold

  • @SparkyMK3

never try to rationalize a cartoon

  • @SparkyMK3 Well it's actually a perfectly fine idea in the short term because of sticky prices. Just spend it while you can.

  • @SparkyMK3 You can still melt the gold down and make shiny things out of it, so I wouldn't call it Worthless per se. It's just useless as currency.

  • @SparkyMK3 Lol! I was thinking the same thing.
