Watching my sims games install in the past, I've found out that simlish is a whole bunch of languages, such as German, Chinese, and English, thrown together with I think a little bit of gibberish. If you'll pay attention, you can pick out some English words they say. Mine are prone to saying "What the" and then a word I don't understand.

It's not like they'd get rid of simlish just give us the option of normal language in several different major languages. It can be done.

I think they could program a good variety of phrases... or work out a system where the user could actively influence what's being said in the conversation or alter the general conversation topic.

Actually its easy to alter the general conversation topic - just click on the sim then choose menu option change topic. Besides, if you dont know specifically what is being said, it is easier to make up a story. Check out some of the story albums on the Sims 2 exchange.

Story albums. I just find it still limited when you change the topic & there's little graphics that look like a movie etc.

What I meant is that a player should be able to actively alter the conversation such as what movie are they talking about, viewpoints etc.

The whole hunger + other life management systems could be integrated with some other game genres that have popped up in the last little while.

I'm hoping that for Sims 3 they put some casual minigames,things like match 3 games or hidden object games,inside the overall large game. For instance when preparing a meal, maybe an optional hidden object game where you hunt for ingredients inside the fridge,maybe add minigame menu option to the fridge,or let you the player optionally play some of the games the sim is playing on the computer or paper. Its boring listening to game noise on their computer and waiting while their fun bar fills.

(cont) Maybe they could let the player play Sudoku or a crossword puzzle when the sim does crossword from the paper. Also, does anyone besides me think the sims interviewing process is just too easy? Maybe they could do a trivia game or multiple choice fun quiz to get the first job in the career series. I think adding minigames is probably not supported in the current Sims 2 programming though so would have to be for Sims 3.
