@olason12345 I don't know if this really was the solution, and i don't know if it will make it worse, but i just went to program files x86, microsoft games, halo 2, and deleted the startup, and when i tried to play, it made a new startup, then it worked. Once again, might not work...

hello its called compadibility maniger in windows 7. this will let you run it in vista mode not in windos sevin.

as for XP people, vista is coded diferntly to XP. the game will not work on XP with out a lot of programing knoledge. They most likely did this so you would by vista because vista was by far the wort windows product..

and i told it to auto mount to PowerISO so when i went to my H2 PowerISO download it was mounted by dameon tools but when i clicked on it it said the same dam. tools driver error so i right clicked and said use with PowerISO and mount it to vurtual drive I so it was all working then i was able to install it so idk my problem and i really need help

i had an error with run.bat too, and i did dommychesses help too,and instead of saying that it came up in a black box and said Run.bat Halo 2 Crack folder to C drive program files microsoft games halo 2 and then it just closed i did everything like she said BUT i already repaired installed Xlive and installed Vcredist a while ago so idk the problem also on dameon tools it said por driver error -1 when i tried to open a drive so what i did is i tried to trick dameon tools and i went to auto drive

i don't think its the crack after researching a bit i think its the fact that you're running this version of halo 2 on xp, see if you can download a "halo 2 patch xp" thing, i've been searching for one but.... its complicated

guys that little gear thing that he clicked and that u guys tryed clicking and had problems with is because when u click that u are clicking a computer service, not a game im not sure wtf halo 2 xp is unless you mean the game.... make sure the file doesnt run off your services from start, settings/ just control panel, services/ administrator services, and get rid of it from ur services

the same happend to me.my desktop pc wouldnt except to intsalling it,so i did it on my laptop.then i transferd the files to my desktop computer and it worked.but somehow it keep on deletin 1 dll.make sure you have all the files. there shud be 174 files. every time i play h-2 it delets 1 of the files, so i keep on relplacing it with my backup.if u dont have the rite number you have to install the game agen.the reply would prbaly be no use 2 people who used an ISO.i got the dvd 4 the game.

Sorry it has tkien such a long time to reply. when i installed halo 2 it came up with the error message. i had a bakup of the installed but it was not craked liked the other one. there was one file missing in the one i had craked. just make sure all the files are there.
