mathews switchback is the best bow I have ever shot, including every bow mathews has made since. I have shot alot of bows but nothing comes anywhere close to the efficency of my switchback...speed, vibration ,and silence not to mention 24 bow kills out to 55 yards..
i've got an outback, and a diamond rapture. but my 1990 bear silent hunter is better than both of those put together. i accidently left it on top of my truck once and it slid off onto the road at a stop sign. did'nt hurt it one freakin bit. try that with today's bows and you'll lose a thousand bucks.
shoot the bow that suits your purpose , & fits the shooter. You can spend $900 ona mathews, $900 Hoyt, or $750 on a Bowtech & I`ll buy 2 Martin Mohab Pros. for half the price .All of there bows have been shooting 320 ibo for years & R accurate lighter than the three named above & have been around 50+ yrs. like Bear. A remington 7mm is only $400 & is worth $300 in5yrs Don`t buy a name it just keeps driving up prices! BOWKILLER
there is so much competition by bow manufacturers that a lot of companies are making great bows. 2010 has a lot of good bows out and anyone stuck on one brand is really limiting their choices. mathews hoyt bowtech strothers bear... the list goes on. like you said dont buy a bow for a name
wow great for u but a mathews had made every bow out there with single cam, parallel limb design, harmonic dampeners, and light weight design MATHEWS owns archery
@MathewsSolocamHunter there are alot fo bows that have technology like this... almost every company has these features, and alot of shit they just give cool names to, mathews included.
this is my opinion. i have shot alot of bows old and new. i had a 09 martin and a 08 bowtech. but i am shooting a mathews they stoped making in 98 the ultra light. it shoots better and faster then the newer ones. i shoot 3 inch balloons out to 60 yards and all i hear is pop. i also have a mathews feathermax another awesome bow. like i said this it just my opinion. why dont we all have a great year hunting and remember to enjoy the outdoors and everything in it.

Wow! What a tool this guy is!!! The drenalin is NOT the most efficient bow...nor is efficiency the most important aspect of a bow.
Shorter bows are going to be more efficient, but less forgiving (a fast miss is still a miss). Efficiency has NOTHING to do with accuracy!!! Fit, Consistency, brace, and ATA have MUCH more to do with consistency.
That said the Mathews is a good bow...just not for any of the reasons he stated.
dude in case u r too dumb to know, mathews invented one of the most "efficient" things in the bow hunting world today....solocam technology. u must be one of those people that are just mad that u dont have a mathews. they make the best bows today
Its like anything else, wheather its archery of fire arms, every manufacturer says thiers is the best,no matter if its Mathews,Hoyt,Ruger or SmithandWesson its a matter of opinion and what ever your used to.

Dxt is just different, not really any better. Quite honestly I find the dren more forgiving to shoot and hence more consistantly accurate.
fd3boost 3 years ago
dxts are loud and yes the drenaline is more forgiving but get a pse they beat mathews
