I loved seeing this. I am from Oregon, we used to go see this every year; have lived in the midsouth east the past 6 yrs. Looking forward to visiting some Sept in Oregon so my family can witness this great event. Is there any risk of this chimney being disassembled? How old is it? Thanks.

there is not a risk of it being disassembled. in fact, the school has changed their heating system so that the chimney is now solely dedicated to the swifts use. yet another reason to love portland! hope you made it out here with your family for a visit.
