  • I understand these lyrics are random and comical, but do you think this would pass for my voice class? We have to sing a "comedy song" and I'm not really sure what that is...

  • wow i love it. I lauged because the lyrics are so random but amazing. "Cousin Garry is reading porn..." haha

  • Thanks for posting this. This song is one of my very favorites and you did an excellent job with it.

  • Her talent is singing and acting...not dressing and clothing style. pay attention to what shes good at. who cares if she wears low cut tops. if thats all you look at your either well..a guy. a lesbo. or judgemental/jelous b!tch.

jeez. shes an amazing artist. thats all that matters.

  • @caution102 That is not "all that matters". Since she is performing live, in sight of her audience, & not just a recording, her clothing becomes part of the performance. It is the largest, most constant, most visible part of "stage presence". Her face changes, posture, gestures, vocal emotions/style/tone color all change, but the chosen "costume" or outfit of EVERY live performer is undeniably part of the presentation. This is EXACTLY why large choirs wear boring robes, to reduce the visual.

  • @caution102 - Choir robes are so boring and one color for the whole group that they allow the listeners to concentrate only on the SOUNDS, without the distraction of 30 separate outfits. I have to this point only addressed the topic of the visual presentation as a theory. I expect you to contain your language and your answer, if any, to the topic, and not stoop to profanity or irrelevant and adolescent name-calling, which did not support your position the last time.

  • @Qwinkly3 Your reply makes no sense and is completely opposite of what I even said in the first place...And that it has been ONE hole year later that I actually wrote that comment, I realize now that yes the language was unneccessary, I can admit that. but my point still stands today as it did a year ago. I appreciated the video for her TALENT not her t*ts :)

  • @caution102 Lastly, please note that I did not advocate for her to WEAR said choir robe. Not at all. I merely used choirs in robes to illustrate my point that the visual is undeniably part of the presentation, and therefore part of the performance itself. Only a recording, or her singing from the back balcony could totally make aural part of the presentation "all that matters".

  • STOP BEING SO GOOD!!!!!!! holy crap! you are amazing

i will be looking for your name in all my playbills from now on as i am sure i will see it there soon!!!! your voice/acting is unbelievable!!!!!!!! xxxxxxxxxx

  • Ohh youtube arguments.. thats.. mature? ;) Cortney Wolfson.. dear.. you have talent. You are gorgous. I enjoyed seeing you this weekend! Keep up the amazing hard work!

  • wow really good!

  • in regards to comments on her outfits:

I don't know if you've ever seen a musical, but they have COSTUMES, hun.

    Also, who CARES?

    She's SO talented.

  • this girl is obviously amazingly talented but even though some people dont wanna believe that attire doesnt effect how your judged on a performance thats just how it is

  • nodake i completely agree.. as a performer myself.. i know from fact you are judged on first appearence.. and while she is extremely talented, her low cut shirts in all of her songs will most definately cause people to lose focus from her voice and place it on her skin.

  • She is amazing, but I've realized in every video of her she likes to show a lot of skin. I don't think it's appropriate when she is performing. SHe needs to cover up.

  • I think your comment on her attire has absolutely nothing to do with her talent as a singer or actor. Additionally, whether you think her outfits are too revealing or not is really a moot point. She wears what she wears and is the point to focus on her clothing or her talent? To focus on the former degrades the later.

  • O wow, ok. Defensive much?!

  • No, not at all actually. I disagreed with you, that doesn't make me defensive, just opinionated.

You're more than welcome to find her attire inappropriate however, I believe that focusing on her clothing takes away from the considerable talent that she possesses. You pointed out her clothing, I pointed out your comment - same thing.

No disrespect, no defensiveness, simply dialogue.

In my opinion, the focus should not be on her dress choice but rather on her singing and acting choices.

  • I care less what anyone is wearing and she's a beautiful woman, but actually what you wear when you perform in usually taken highly into consideration because when you are a beautiful woman, sometimes a lot of skin WILL be distracting from your considerable talent.

  • ...this is a fun argument to read.

i think you guys should join a debate team or something...

...you do get points off in debating if you dress inappropriately though...

    ...this isn't debating though...

i think you people are both right. still fun to read. especially with nanachristines alliteration. that was my favorite.

  • @nodak88 I agree w you, but on both sides of the issue. I agree that "what you wear when you perform" is taken into consideration, but not WHY you said so. It is simply & purely because we have eyes. My point is this, and let it be read by @Caution102 also... Nodak says a "beautiful woman" showing lots of skin will distract. Let's put the same outfit (diff size) and the exact same talent - voice, acting - into a FAT, Ugly young lady. @Nodak, still would you say that the outfit doesn't matter?

  • why is she so fierce?

  • love her but she needs to cover up the girls... they're popping out hahah

  • i can totally see her as the next Sutton Foster

  • totes.

  • Doesn't she sound very much like her?

  • freaking amazing

  • lol i know she is. i just meant she deserves being there. you can tell she has worked hard to be where she is.

  • I love her voice!

Cortney deserves to be on broadway right now!

  • she is lol

    She's in Les Mis

    giving it in the ensemble

    and also covers Eponine

she's gonna be so fierce when she goes on!!

  • I cannot to see her on the Tonys!

  • ahah, this is awesome!

  • haha- good job cam. learn to READ maybe? (didnt even look at the description...)

  • What is that song from? I've never heard it before... at least, i don't think i have....

  • There is so much imagery in this song. You can totally see a big house full of family and such. Well, at least I can anyway, great song, great performance, great school.

  • are all the michigan musical theatre majors terrific singers?

  • terrific

  • wow this girl just gets you hooked as soon as you look her! this is great!

  • WON. DER. FUL.

  • Great!

  • I love her.

  • FIERCE. as always.

    you are AMAZING.

  • Cortney, Marry me?

  • this girl is always amazing with energy

  • It would benefit her to see a professional production of the show.

  • Shut up you stupid old queen! I'm so sick of all your rude comments on everyone's videos, not just the ones on this account. YOU would benefit from bringing happiness into your life and embracing the talents of people other than yourself. Trashing everyone to make yourself feel better might give you a nice quick fix but it will never fill the void where I'm sure your own talent lives.

  • I'd love to see you perform, I'm sure you wouldn't need to even post your name, I'd be able to pick you out of a crowd from all the negative energy surrounding you.

  • she gives me chills... another amazing, flawless performance

  • love the song, it turns from lighthearted and cute to serious so quickly and seamlessly, and she does it such justice.

  • she is gooood!!
