  • I have a phone that looks like that. My keypad looks the same on the outside, but under it is just a simple board with an inegrated circuit on it. I wanted to install a message light in it, like the ones in the hotels have. It is an ITT 183499-103 model, it is green, and has the reciever and main cord direct wired, no modual connections (RJ-11 RJ-10) Where on the network would I put a light, and what ratings would the light be (voltage)? Thanks.

  • I have the same model telephone, I had it imported to the UK. One problem I am having, is occasionally when I am dialling a number I only get a single tone beep, not the dual tone needed to dial a number (hope that makes sense), is this a sign I need to clean the keypad inside? Or is it a faulty keypad?

I can remedy it by prodding a few other keys to get the dual tone multi-frequency back.

    Thanks.

  • Hi

    Thank you for your comment.!

Really without troublshooting the telephone it is hard to say

exactly what is wrong with the unit.

    Have a Great Day.!

  • Hi Thank you for your comment.!

I see no reason why you can not use this telephone in the UK as long as you get the proper adapter.!

    thank you.!

  • This is the phone you see at the beginning of The Rockford files and in countless other 70's TV movies like Dallas, Quincy and Petrocelli. For that reason I'd like to purchase one of these, can you tell me if I can make this work on the UK network Dennis?
