I live in Florida and would hate to see it screw up our great beaches. I've not seen any trouble with our 3 sides surrounded by water. I love having two differnt styles to choose from here. If you want waves and deep water then you have the Atlantic side but if you like crystal clear non wave beaches then you go to the Gulf side. It's awesome.
