I am from Europe and can tell that MLS is actually good league. In time it will be even better. You just need more players and experience, that's all. Maybe more games against European or South American teams. I would really like it if MLS teams would make competition for Barcelona, Man Utd etc. It's just that football/soccer is not your first sport. Here we live for it, in my town which is pretty small we have 10-15 teams and we all play, every day, just like your kids play basketball. Cheers.

i hate it when ppl call the MLS a shit league. how long has the league been around? who "invented" the game? what leagues are there around us? just think before you open your big ass mouths. it's a new league. i don't see people thrashing A-League (Australian Footy). why? because the league is in America and Americans are supposed to b the best at everything? we pretty much are, so big deal if our league isn't the best yet. in time we will grow & develop. it's kinda hard w/the leagues around us.

mls is developing very fast and it hasnt been around long. we're getting there.

well not "long"...we formed in '94. on terms of the big leagues and some mediocre leagues around the world, that's a very short time. we are definitely improving though. it's a young league, these things take time.

That may be true, but the MLS is still a developing league and you can't expect play like in the EPL, just like the NFL Europe is pretty awful. In ten years I think the dominant defending that people see in Europe is gonna be more apparent in the MLS as better coaching and more experienced players start staying in the MLS instead of using it as a secondary league before or after their careers in the EPL.

And The Pacific Northwest is just one more reason I"m excited about our League. I was flabbergasted to hear that Cooper would be allowing Seattle to play at Qwest some time ago, but hey, if you can fill the seats (or at least the lower bowl) of a football stadium then hat's off.
