I found a video by someone else who had instructions on how to make these into mp3's but now cant find it..any ideas?? I want this ol beefy hamburger of a song! Meaty, juicy, full enough to be tasty and yummy! This one needs to be cranked while driving down the road with the wind in my hair. Do tell how I get it on mp3..thx.
You could buy it but if you're looking for a freebie I would google the title with the word Rapidshare or with the word Megaupload. Let me know if it works for you.
I looked up & listened to some Paul Rogers songs..OMG..while I like the tone of Steve's voice (in his day) Paul has this SO effortless, laidback, from-the-heart quality that is AMAZING to see & hear. No wonder Steve tried to emulate him! Rare to see a singer who sounds so slick but effortless in his runs and vocals.
@rickyon Hey, R..I have no idea who to ask, so I'll try you...how does one get to a meet and greet or backstage with Kansas?? I happened to get backstage 10 years ago by lucky happenstance (Steve was irascible cuz he was away from his baby daughter)...any suggestions? I heard that in most venues, they come out onstage 15 minutes or so after the gig?? is this still happening??
Sounds like you know more than I do about what they do after their shows. When I met them 28 years ago I was with a girl that knew the road manager for Kansas and several other bands. You could try getting the attention of the roadies before or after the show. I hear they are pretty cool. Maybe Eric Holmquist, he is the drum roadie and even plays onstage on a couple of songs. Find Belexes (that's his user name) here on you-tube and ask him. He may have some suggestions. You can use my name.
thanks for posting....love this song! Grew up with this band in the late 70's and beyond....they were ahead of their time compared with most other rock bands.
Nobody cares! Just kidding (See earlier posts) You're welcome. I was 17 when I got hooked on them in 1975. There really was nobody like them! If you check out my channel here you can see that they are my favorite band and the music of the 70's is almost an obsession! Enjoy.....Rick
That's the famous Rich Williams "Meatwall" of sound! The 1st song I heard was "Down The Road" on the radio when I was at the beach. That was all it took. Saw them next time they came through town opening for Bad Company. Rich still had the overalls and they dressed like midwestern bumpkins. They still blew Bad Company off the stage and I love Bad Company and Paul Rodgers. Imagine those 2 guys singing on the same stage on the same night!!!!
@rickyon must've been a killer show. i saw them separately back in the day. coincidently, like yourself (me being a drummer too) i'm sure you've come to appreciate ehart's famous "ghost drags". ya feel me?
I'm soooo sorry but what they're sayin might be true .

One of the early Walsh songs and similar to the songs on his solo albums.

Rogers is definitely on my short list along with Lou Gramm, Steve Perry and Mickey Thomas to name a few!
