This brings me back. I pass out CDR's of my stuff (sometimes even light-scribe if I really feel like going for broke!) mostly to young kids or young adults because that's who's most interested in punk/HC/thrash type stuff these days, and we get to talking music. I talk to them about the old punk bands and they're in to it, but then I say "and early metallica" and suddenly I'm from mars. Their experience of metallica is "unforgiven II". This old shit is political, angry, rebellious, and relevant.

I think Metallica needs to write another really heavy album. Look at their album progression. Hit the lights, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, And justice for all. Listen to them in order, They progressively get heavier, the instrumentals display metallicas raw talent, the lyrics are in your face and heavy. All the way up to id say load, metallica kicked ass. Now their new album, death magnetic, it would be good, if it wasnt metallica's work.They need another master of puppets heavy album.
