The editing could be for driver "technique" isn't dis-plaid for too long.

Last heard the Rolex Series may be banning the rotary because of it's dominance in t he GT class.

Thanks for taking the time to watch-- if you pay attention the video 'drops' at high RPM, a result of the interference from the vibration on the MiniDV camera system. The video is not sped up, nor is it 'bogus'. The lap time gain (for lack of a better description) is simply from where the video jumps at high RPM and then picks back up at lower RPM.

The editing is to show two clean laps, hence the jump from one lap to another at start finish.
