Israel is for peace accepting the principle of two countries for the two people.

The territory of Israel is held by the Jewish people that has deep roots in this country and menages a wealty ecconomics.

We have offered the Palestinian people Peace agreements, that would only benneficiate them.

At 2000 Arafat refused to it and declared war on Israel. Violence starts from Palestinians and military hold could be unnecessary.

If by "defense", you mean to suggest that both countries commit mass murders of innocent civillians to expand their territory and remove valuable resources, then I would agree that "defense" is about the same in this regard.

Defense means that if Hamas doesnt attack Israel, Israel will not react.

The sides are not symetric. Israel looks for peace and fundamentalist Islamic parties speak of islamisation of the all world. (Jihad).

Claims that Israeli settlement offers "only" benefit Palestinians are not credible. Please explain the daily humiliation Palestinians are forced to suffer at checkpoints under the best of times. Please also explain why, if your claims are true, why refugees expelled by the IDF are not allowed to return to their homes, etc. Whether one desalinates says nothing about a need, want, or murder of someone for water. US oil reserves do not stop US military conquest to control other's oil.

Checkpoints. They almost disappeared betwen 1993 to 2000 but resurged when Yasser Arafat decided to declare war on Israel, obeying to the religious street.

Palestine Authority are not permited to enter Israel for security reasons.

Every country in the world controls its border. e.g Mexicans in USA.

Yes, being done deliberatedly, not as a indirect consequence of war.

Before a militar operation is carried in inhabited zone, clear warnings should be given, e.g spreading leaflets from airplanes., as we did in Gaza.

Storage of ammunition in civil houses is a crime of war.

Launching missils from schools is a crime of war, the same done from civilians concentations like UNRWA shelters.

Setting aside an obvious inability to discuss crimes objectively - Where do you expect people under seige to go when leaflets are dropped telling them to flee? It is a bit hard to believe you are really so blinded, but I often can't believe the effectiveness of US indoctrination either.

Eliezer, to neutral observers, your claims do not appear credible and your arguments are largely supported by non-sequiters: withdrawal of Gaza settlements is not evidence Israel is not an occupying power according to the standards of international law. You fail to address the disparity of casualties, you fail to address current military control relative to the 1948 borders, to explain why "deep roots" or "wealth" should exonerate one from objective assessment.
