Jimmy AND his band are sounding better than ever! Just saw them at the Cincy Blues Fest on July 30th, 2008 and they were kickin' it. His rhythm section is the best. The drummer and bass player really do a great job accentuating Jimmy's talent. Blazing speed, beautiful tone, sweet melodic runs, he's got it all... Roy Buchanon meets SRV meets Walter Trout.
Saw Jimmy in Honolulu a couple of years back. As it says on his website, he looks like an accountant (which is what I said when I first saw him), but oh baby can he play! His Jimi Hendrix Red House/Star-Spangled Banner is something to behold. Thanks for a great clip.
And the Fender Bender plays on. Jimmy's a great guy and marvelous player.

I've seen Mr. Thackery 3 times now. Its always a delight to watch him play. He's one of might favorites for sure.
