Here's an idea for the sequal: Jason has been captured after a massive manhunt, yet is found not guilty by reason of insanty and is scentenced to a maximum security mental hospital, which ultimatally cures Jason of his mother's psychological influence, when Jason manages to escape, he begins a quest that he has waited 20 years to begin: to hunt down and exact his revenge on the kids who made him an outcast and left him for dead at Crystal Lake
@baneoftheoblivion Jasondrowned when camp counsellers werent watchin ghim so his mom decided to kill all of the counsellers. When jason is still alive(ressurected or never actually dead) she tells him to get all of them and then dies. Jason takes this as kill EVERYONE not just the cousellers.

It's a tradition Halloween (the orginal not the remake) started, the ending showed Michael Myers being shot and falling to his death, but the next shot shows his body is gone, leaving you to wonder if he's still on the loose, this is actually a remake of Friday the 13th Part II, since in the orginal Jason's mother was the killer and she died at the end

In Friday the 13th Part II one of the councilers is telling the story of the original accident, and says simply Jason's body was never found. Going by simply this movie you can argue he washed up in another part of the Crystal Lake area and went into hiding before finding his way back to Camp Crystal Lake in time to see his mother killed, after that he found the mine which became his base and became an expert hunter, fisherman, trapper and survivalist
There are two explanations one he became lost in the woods after he got out of the lake, and didn't know the way home or Mrs. Voorhees rescued Jason, and was determined that no one would hurt him again hence her determination to keep the camp closed and she spread the story about him drowning to shut the camp down
In Parts I-IX you can argue Mrs. Voorhees may have used black magic or something to resurrect her son before she was killed

I liked Jason's character in this movie. The way he killed was badass. And I love how he runs more, instead of him being so slow in the originals. Minus all the sex scenes it was pretty good remake in my opinion.

It was a lot of fun the first time, i don't deny that. Just not scary and not worth it the second time around. And the trailer makes it look amazing, that's all. Chill out. okay, i went to the camp on a youth retreat that this is based off of.
we were in the cabin that was right next to the headstone.
the kid died when he was 5 and they never found his body in the lake.
it was NOT that scary.
but whatevs, hollywood's got creative rights:)

i kind of liked it... it's a greath horror movie of the new horror generation...
there were alot of sex and hard languages but that's how teenagers are these years!
but it's not compared to the old friday the 13th... but jason was greath in this, just hoped he would be lot more stronger... but there something that could be scarier in this movie, but don't know what.... and there should be more of the "Chi Chi Chi Ha Ha Ha" and showned more of jasons mother.

@LilSpyroDragon i agree with u all the way those two remakes sucked ass atleast this one had some imagination and that classic friday the 13th/slasher feel to it the other two just remade what was already done the only problem that i had with this movie was i felt they went over board with the language and sex but overall it was a really good movie and the acting was much better in this than it was in halloween or nightmare on elm street.

this movie was horrible!! the worst remake ever!! along with texas chainsaw massacre and nightmare on elm street. the story sucked, the acting sucked and the teenagers were sooo fucking anoying in it! and wtf it had like 2 opening scenes. what was up with that?? i couldnt even make myselfe finish watching this piece of shit! if they were to take the first 20 minutes of the movie and expanded it, it would have been soooo much better. but the next hour and ten minutes were really dumb.

You're actually going to complain about the story? Every film in the series has the same story- Stupid kids get killed by Jason after making poor health/life decisions. You honestly can't argue that the original films are anything more than that. This film was nothing but Jason destroying everyone- that's what I wanted, that's what I got.

@MaximumMadnessStixon i was just expecting way more after seeing the trailer. to me the biggest issue was the piece of shit teenagers. i couldnt stand them! i hate todays teenagers! all they do is goof off and do drugs. everyone tells me that is a good thing becuase it makes you like it more when jason kills them. but i really couldnt stand them. everytime they talked i pushed mute. some things were good. i like the way they explained how he got around the camp so fast. and jason was awsome.

@REKONBALL2 I can understand where you're coming from, but to me, the teenagers being complete assholes worked, because me and my friends were cheering in the theater when Jason was killing them. It also made us more frightened for the few characters we did care about (like the brother and sister and the one guy's girlfriend or whatever she was), because they seemed like saints compared to the others. But I can see where you're coming from. At least you have reason and aren't blindly bashing it.
