This situation has apparently happened numerous times.

Ugh. I'm so glad they cut this. The whole "manic shopping" thing of bipolar people is such a stereotype. I know many bipolar people- and they NEVER do this. It's insulting to say the least.

We definitely see the manic side of Diana in the show as is- that's what the whole opening sequence is. She's up at 4AM in one of her episodes.

It was originally where she freaked out at the end of act one how she freaks out at home originally she freaked out in COSTCO but they thought her freaking out at home was a better choice for the plot and the character developments

haha, did you see it toward the end of the run? :) They cut it about 2 weeks before the 2st production closed! Although I DO understand why they cut it and why the show runs more smoothly without it, it's still SUCH a great scene. Alice is absolutely brilliant and adorable <3
