You can get them used for around $500 or buy a brand new one for about $850 to $1,200.

Don't bother with that one, if your interests lie in drawing, I'd say buy the cintiq 12wx, it's 1000 dollars, pmgodfrey said this could get as high as 1200, so they're both the same price range. If your really interested, I'd suggest the cintiq 21 ux, bigger screen, but higher price, it's 1999 dollars.

I don't quite get it. Or, I don't get that last bit. It's cool that it has an eraser function....but that seems a bit pointless.
