Ethics VIOLATIONS! Sue Citi-Bank & close them down. Sue the NYPD for false arrest and false imprisonment. RECALL Mayor Bloomberg for encouraging the NYPD's illegal behavior. Imprison Mayor Bloomberg for giving illegal orders to the NYPD.
@tracerbullet606 Yeah, and if she´s a customer, what´s the big deal? Aren´t customers allowed in the premises? Not if they´re willing to close their accounts, it seems.
@brmordaz what seems to be true, and what really is true are totally different. out of all the protestors arrested, only 1 tried to close their account. not all of the protestors were account holders either.. they took signs inside and had a demonstration on PRIVATE PROPERTY. check the video on my page and you will see. you will also see her boy toy walking around inside like owns the place, filming everything... doesn't seem to me like any of them were trying to close accounts..
Why didnt that girl come back later when it was peacefull like im sure she was told. Then im sure there would be no problems but.No she was demanding that she was a customer so she got arrested..Good for her she should have known better and you can see clearly she was a protester..You just have to be careful if you have 20 or 30 people like her then your going to have a Riot and someone is going to get seriously hurt.
@DWcriticism What video did you watch? Certainly not this one! The woman here was clearly outside of the bank. She was arrested for being a protester, plain and simple. Last I heard, protesting was legal in the "Land of the Free". Protesters were asked to leave. This woman left before the others were locked in. The police arrested her outside and took her (and at least one other person!) back inside the bank and hauled the lot of them away to jail. Where is the sense in that?
"Effective April 1, 2010, we reserve the right to require (7) days advance notice before permitting a withdrawal from all checking accounts. While we do not currently exercise this right and have not exercised it in the past, we are required by law to notify you of this change,"
@skcabtewon I see stooges in this instance. The officers arresting the protesters (and customers!) here are clearly on the wrong side of history and on the wrong side of our constitution. These same men may be heroes at another time and/or in another situation, but in this instance they are acting as paid thugs for the banksters. The sad thing is that these cops are part of the 99% too... the same as you or myself. I have no doubt that these officers are following orders.
You will win the case. You are a customer with an account at Citi. You have every legal right to be there unless you remained after being asked to leave. THey arrested you for having entered at the same time as other protesters. Not a crime in of itself.
These cops are morons and corporate thugs.
The NYPD is quickly becoming recognized world wide as one of the worst department in America.
I feel nothing but contempt for the NYPD uniform now.

you should correct the title of this video to "Arrests trespassing citizens" instead of "Customers closing accounts"
search youtube for the user stickymonki1. they have 1 video that shows them "trying to close their accounts" prior to the arrests.

The cop who confronts her says "you were inside." Maybe so, but now she's outside. Why not just let her go and not escalate the situation?
