I don't disagree that global warming has happened before. It is a natural cyclical event and there is nothing mankind can do to stop it. In the current vernacular, global warming is understood to be the cause of man, not a cyclical event. In fact, CO2 has nothing to do with causing global warming, as there is no correlating evidence to support this claim. There is evidence to support the increase of solar activity to the rise in Earths temperature(however miniscule that may be at the present).

My point in regard to the song is that our oil dependency is straining our national security, our economy, and our environment. With our current rate of growth of consumption we are becoming more dependant on foriegn oil, which enriches and empowers oil producing countries that don't like us. The current enconmic crisis started with high energy prices putting a heavy burden on consumer demand. This crisis spread to the rest of the world and made new enemies for us.

I don't disagree that we are far too dependent on foreign oil. The Dept. of Energy was initiated to get us less dependent of the stuff and look where we are now. Domestic drilling is the answer, except Nancy Pelosi and the gang keep cutting those efforts off at the knees. It seems like a no-brainer to utilize our own sources of oil, but when did common sense ever seem to be of abundance in Washington D.C.? Believe or not, I like Sheryl Crow. The show, was GREAT, but I was very disappointed that even though Sheryl played guitar in almost every song, she only played rhythm. Not a single solo! Damn shame because she is a fine guitar player!!

Great song and I love the lyrics not the best mix because it covers up her voice. It is fine to turn it up when she "yells" in the refrain or later when she "yells" yea yea yea. I also think a few extra drum licks along with a slight crescendo into the refrain would sound great and the music faded away at the end.

Please just do not make Sheryl Crow sound like a country version of Avril Lavigne. I guess Avril Lavigne could do a cover of this song but someone would have to explain the lyrics.
