I read an article on him a year ago, and it mentioned that prior to getting into ultradistance, he weighed 300 pounds (powerlifting) when he walked into a Navy recruiter wanting to become a SEAL. The recruiter told him to come back when he weighed 200. Two or three months later, he shows up back at the recruiters office after dropping 100 pounds. The man is the perfect breathing/walking specimen of mental focus. He gives the rest of us mortals permission that anything IS possible.
This is just amazing! The funny thing is, of course he looks like a superman, but there are other ultra-marathoners who look like normal people. They say anyone can learn to do it, run long distances I mean. If I run for 30 minutes that is an accomplishment for me!
Dave is SEAL Operator First Class David Goggins, U.S. Navy. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Basic Underwater Demolition School (BUDS), SEAL Qualification Training (SQT), the U.S. Army Ranger School, The U.S. Army Airborne School, and The U.S. Air Force Special Tactics P School.
Someone told me about Goggins... said his preparation is insane. He wouldn't be satisfied with anything but first place-- David Goggins is the EPITOME of endurance sports.
can anyone tell me how to get into contact with david? I would love to see some of this animals training routines with weights/pushups etc. I hear he does a thousand sets of pushups/pullups. Pleas let me know this guy is absolutely the real deal. Aaron Smith

I'm wanting to do ultras eventually. I'm doing up to 12-15 miles now.
Whenever I feel tired or whatever, I watch videos of this guy for motivation.

actually he got injured so they made him do it over.
cellardoor199991 2 years ago 2
He didn't get injured on this.
He got injured on his 101 mile thing.
He had to walk from 75 to 101, because he was having a kidney failure but he didn't know it.
When he got home, he was peeing blood.
