im pretty sure the Code name for the zr1 was the bluedevil, but the speculated name for when it was released was the SS. This is what it was going to be named before they decided to resurrect the zr1 name. Wikipedia is not the best source but it confirms this. search for c6 corvette and read the zr1 portion.

Yea I say they should build a model faster than the z07, with a fuel injected 572 zz4 big block - maybe supercharged

It has been confirmed that there will be a higher than Z06 model. All of the details are sketchy, but expect a supercharger and some big numbers. With a few pounds shaved off. I have heard both a supercharged LS3 and a supercharged LS7 with both HP numbers being estimated well into the 600s. Add all that HP to a lighter than Z06 car and you have a rocket, and a hypercar killer.

Yeah, AWD would make them too heavy I think, Porsche 911 had that problem a few years back. It just wasn't as quick as 2wd. The head guy at Eaton told me they expected to get between 600-650 hp in the new vette, but the new superchargers they came up with are apparently crazy bad ass.

The SS will have the newly designed Eaton 4-lobe twin screw supercharger, because the factory's here in town and I toured it several months ago and saw them making them. The guy said the SS will be 600-650 hp, factory. AWD like the lancer would be a killer!
