Since your advice is to turn off the television, then it would be rather clear that you don't watch Fox enough to really know what they relate. You have to watch it beyond a few minutes and get through your bias, as I had to do originally. I'm not Republican, I'm independent and I use to lean toward the democrats. Fox showed scenes of Van Jones, Rev. Wright, Obama speaking at a community organizer meeting, etc.. and I do some checking out of the info. myself.

If Keynesian economics is aid to be a way toward our end, I check it out.

I found criticism for Hannity's covering the Tea Party, but I also recall how Fox was expressing their disbelief with 'HOW LITTLE' coverage they got from elsewhere & how other stations tried to trivialize the event; so they felt they were the only avenue for people to see what was it was all about;otherwise, they'd be treated like a bunch of racists & dismissed.What's important to me is what the movement is about, not whether Fox does as other news stations do in promoting things they support.
I use to watch Lou Dobbs religiously. It was hard for me to figure out why people were more interested in what they wanted as opposed to what our laws indicate e.g., immigration. i cant believe CNN and all the other network tried to hide it and lied about it. That event was a mile stone in this country. People have complained about tyranny for so long and finally real Americans are starting to speak up, and our own media had no respect for us. This really shows what we're up against. My complaint is these people protesting higher taxes for the rich and government spending were very quite when GWB and company doubled the national debt. All of a sudden they care about whats going on. Please, all this is being paid for by Dick Amy and company.
I know, that's why they're protesting. I don't know about NBC, but the people are saying we need to pull the plug on our government by enforcing the constitution on it. That means, no more IRS, completely resetting the Federal powers and the state powers. Bringing our over seas empire home and protecting the people. But first order of business, Audit the Fed Reserve. Check out Ron Paul. He's the last real American gray hair congressmen. He might run 2012.. Really check him out, you'll like him.
I like his central focus which is a very Christian idea. Instead of going around forcing people and nations to do what they want them to do, the governments role should be only to provide a completely free and civil society and market so that people may live and in this way, have a chance to set a good example. Lead by example, not try to help everyone. Mankind is too fragile and it always messes everything up. People corrupt with too much power and money. We need smaller govnt.

You are forgetting the basic principles of reporting. Many never knew what they were in the first place. Creating and promoting an event like this is the furthest thing from actually reporting unbiased news. It can be hard to remove one's personal bias from coverage, but Fox not only wears their bias proudly while claiming that they don't, they misinform their viewers to the point that they have been proven to be less informed on even the most basic of issues. Turn off the TV. Read a newspaper.

Meaning that if my news organization promoted an event, I would consider it an egregious breach of ethical conduct to cover it like a grassroots happening. It is a fact that Fox was a fundamental organizer of the event. Fox producers are on tape amping up the crowds for the cameras. This is just one example of why I have lost trust in their reportage.

If you want reliable "conservative" news media, I'd recommend reading The Economist or the Wall Street Journal, and although I don't agree with him 100%, I'd recommend "The Liberal Viewer" (on YouTube) to give an accurate representation of Fox's fallacies.

It wasn't until I started watching Fox that I realized how much I was missing from the other side. I only started watching Fox more since about 2009 when I got a TV in my facility and patients wanted to watch it.

Why do you people care so much? What do you expect them to do when the other networks under-report, don't report, or do intentionally negative reports on the tea parties? When there was one in Dallas, the news just skimmed over it, and even went so far as to FABRICATE a low number for the turnout, even though it was quite substantial.

Scholars may differ in their views; we can choose whether to agree or not.Fox acquires scholars who will disagree with scholars who MSNBC present, but the bottom line is what each person thinks is right or wrong.I'm observing how people are judging Fox because they don't like hearing things contrary to their own belief system, like a religion.How often do you hear anti-keynesian economics on MSNBC. I've never witnessed such coddling of the media to a Pres. in history, although recently it seems to have at least changed to some degree. Even w/ this all I hear is how Fox is biased, not even considering how MSNBC has a love affair going w/Obama. I like Fox because they do get a lot of economic scholars&I can judge for myself whether I agree with them or not. Fox can host as many tea parties as they want, if it weren't for them,the tea party wouldn't be aired at all,unless in a negative light.

Since your advice is to turn off the television, then it would be rather clear that you don't watch Fox enough to really know what they relate. You have to watch it beyond a few minutes and get through your bias, as I had to do originally. I'm not Republican, I'm independent and I use to lean toward the democrats. Fox showed scenes of Van Jones, Rev. Wright, Obama speaking at a community organizer meeting, etc.. and I do some checking out of the info. myself.

When I watch a show like Beck, I don't take his word for it, I search out a good part of the info.. For example, if he claims something like FDR prolonging the depression with his policies I check it out. If Van Jones was a self proclaimed communist, I check it out. If Keynesian economics is aid to be a way toward our end, I check it out.

I found criticism for Hannity's covering the Tea Party, but I also recall how Fox was expressing their disbelief with 'HOW LITTLE' coverage they got from elsewhere & how other stations tried to trivialize the event; so they felt they were the only avenue for people to see what was it was all about;otherwise, they'd be treated like a bunch of racists & dismissed.What's important to me is what the movement is about, not whether Fox does as other news stations do in promoting things they support.

I use to watch Lou Dobbs religiously. It was hard for me to figure out why people were more interested in what they wanted as opposed to what our laws indicate e.g., immigration. Lou Dobbs was the best as his info was pure common sense. I liked most of the anchors there J. Greenfield, B. Shaw, W. Blitzer, Amanpour, Anderson Cooper, etc.. I basically grew up watching them. Creating and promoting an event like this is the furthest thing from actually reporting unbiased news. It can be hard to remove one's personal bias from coverage, but Fox not only wears their bias proudly while claiming that they don't, they misinform their viewers to the point that they have been proven to be less informed on even the most basic of issues. Turn off the TV. Read a newspaper.

@AtomicBobBomb this is just plain crapPeople who actually watch Fox knows this is BS because we actually watch it.I C people criticizing O'Reilly,but he often takes opposing sides to other conservatives.I only started watching Fox over past year or so,I use to watchCNN&MSNBC, but soon learned that w/exception of Dobbs, were one's not telling whole story.They would have U just believe Obama is a regular guy try'g to help regular people.Fox info is detailed enoughUcan actually look it up yourself.

I'd also recommend reading some books on English grammar, spelling, and syntax. Having to decipher your dysgraphic retort before rebutting it only supports the claim that watching Fox News makes people less adept at thinking critically.

I find it amusing when people revert to english grammar, spelling&syntax when they have nothing of substance to say.THIS IS A YOUTUBE message box.There is limited space; I cut out words to fit more in&abbreviate; change 'you' to u, cut out 'the' , cut out letters hoping person reading it has enough brain cells to decipher what they're reading.I really have to tell U that?This kind of crap just proves a point about attitude of Obama supporters, if you can't win on substance try everything else.

@ProPTRehab Generally, I don't want my reporting "detailed enough." I want it to be, well, reported! Meaning that if my news organization promoted an event, I would consider it an egregious breach of ethical conduct to cover it like a grassroots happening. It is a fact that Fox was a fundamental organizer of the event. Fox producers are on tape amping up the crowds for the cameras. This is just one example of why I have lost trust in their reportage.

Was Van Jones a self declared communist? Yes Was W. Wilson a 'good' President? No Do you watch the historians that have come on the Beck show? People who don't want to hear bad things about their Cult leader & his admin sometimes may try to listen, but they don't really listen. It's obvious we can't afford Dem wet dreams

@AtomicBobBomb Fox says they are fair and balanced because MSNBC rarely report anything bad about Obama. I know, I use to watch the station. If Fox didn't show the other side, you'd never know about half the things that go on. Also, you can take the information provided and check it out on your own & not assume that because it's Fox they are unreliable.

@AtomicBobBomb maybe I did overreact, but I get tired of hearing people just lambaste Fox because it comes off more like people are joining the party, "Hey lets all gather up and tear down Fox." It's like a Fad of sorts. I don't believe the majority of Fox detractors even know what is on Fox in detail. I NEVER use to watch it. I only started watching it because I realized I was hearing info. I didn't hear before. The controversy has inspired me to look up claims, so I do this.

@ProPTRehab If you google "spj ethics code" you'll understand the horrendous ethical violations Fox news makes. Sure, other 24 hour news channels do it, too, but Fox does it much, much more often. If you want reliable "conservative" news media, I'd recommend reading The Economist or the Wall Street Journal, and although I don't agree with him 100%, I'd recommend "The Liberal Viewer" (on YouTube) to give an accurate representation of Fox's fallacies.

Do you truly watch Fox or did you see some things you didn't like&just couldn't get yourself to view more?I don't think 1 station has it over on another for any such violations.I don't know, I've looked up historical info.Beck presents w/scholars & it comes up accurate.I don't particularly care for his religious content, but his beliefs don't change such facts as FDR prolonging the depression, etc.America wasn't meant to go the Obama way&if Fox didn't exist we'd all just believe MSNBC & others.

How has MSNBC handled the fact that Obama & Holder were criticizing the Arizona Law w/out reading the law first? Have they shown this to any reasonable level? It took a long time for them to say anything about ACORN. They only tried to show the bad w/regard to Tea Partiers,etc. It's interesting because I see members of the Tea Party quite frequently in my office,but they are all intelligent people who are concerned about our country & to tag them as racists is a show of desperation.

There was clearly more violence with those demonstrations, although I don't know how well MSNBC & CNN showed it. How about Holder going on these talk shows & spouting off everywhere about Arizona's unjust law without ever reading the law to begin with. How much coverage did this get?

@ProPTRehab I believe there's video of it. By en masse I mean that there were several people. This wasn't one nut-job. The Tea Party movement, while by no means an inherently racist, has clearly attracted the attention of racists.
You tell me to watch Fox, yet you admit that you don't watch other news. It doesn't matter who your news source is; getting news from one source is dangerous.

@AtomicBobBomb I use to watch the other news stations RELIGIOUSLY! I grew up on CNN and to a somewhat lesser extent MSNBC. Please give me your link again that you are speaking of. It wasn't until I started watching Fox that I realized how much I was missing from the other side. I only started watching Fox more since about 2009 when I got a TV in my facility and patients wanted to watch it.

The Gov waste is in front of everyone's eyes, so why would anyone want government to collect more $ just to waste? Rich people do a better job at picking worthwhile causes than the Gov

@AtomicBobBomb, I happen to like the Wall Street Journal Correspondent that is on Fox, but I can't recall his name presently. As far as what Fox reports, I can always look up info. myself. I didn't believe the stuff about FDR until I looked it up and found several sources confirming the info.. The DOJ stuff, I definitely believe the guy who left the DOJ was telling the truth about DOJ; no motivation to lie. Y other media doesn't cover it? What about S. Ackerman? Silent on other media?
