There are two counters... psi storm or reavers. He already had reavers.

You could see how much huge damage the reavers were doing, it just wasn't enough since he got caught off guard with the timing attack.

Hey stupids!

KaL didn't see the marine/medics until they left fOrGG's base. If he'd have added archives + make HT + wait for storm research he'd be dead much faster.

He could have seen with his observer at fOrGG's cliff that the marines were coming down the ramp 3-4 at a time, that's a pretty good indicator.

the rines where kept safe from observers inside the main and poured down the ramp to move out, if i'm not completely mistaken. given the time kal had to react i dont think a ht switch wouldve been viable than his already existing reaver tech, but thats theorycraft and wont lead anywhere.

But Kal also saw (as far as I could tell) that ForGG didn't take his gas at the natural and not a single vulture came out of his base. He should have asked himself what Terran would do with all those minerals if he's not making vultures.

Of course if he had done that, we probably wouldn't have this epic game with multiple 20+ kill reavers and super exciting micro for 10 minutes straight.

It was forgg's awesome anti reaver micro that won him the game.
