Can you help me out. Can you set a black plain background, then turn your back light all the way down. Then let me know if you see white horizontal lines scrolling down? Thanks!
@Blizzardwizard11 I'm not sure if this would be the best TV for playing games. It works, but I do notice a lot of blur when I'm playing some games. I feel like a TV with a higher refresh rate would be better for games. I don't know anything about that other TV, so I'd just compare it with this one and see what the pros and cons are of both of them. The only way you're going to be able to record gameplay from a TV to a PC is using an HD PVR. Google it, you'll see what I'm talking about.
I have the game capture device, i use the roxio game capture, it's just that i usually record to PC via a normal TV, will i be able to do the same with a tv/monitor?
@Blizzardwizard11 I'm not really sure what you're setup is like, but I know there are ways to have game system show on the TV and have it record on the PC. That's what those recorders should do.
Hey there just a quick question. I am looking for a good tv to play my xbox 360 on, not too pricey but not too cheap, this seems to fall into the middle. Is this good for playing games on? Also should i get this or the newer Samsung syncmaster T23A350?
Does the optical audio jack on this monitor output in 5.1? If i connect an xbox 360 via hdmi (which carries 5.1 sound) will the optical jack on the monitor output 5.1 sound or stereo?
On the TV, when you get a low signal on a channel, does it sometimes slow down or freeze up to the point where you can't watch anything even on channels with a high signal?
hey nice monitor... i wana ask that i have a laptop of acer having inted hd graphics of 763mb.... i wana buy this monitor and wana watch full hd movies.... So my question is that will i need a graphic card to run full hd movies or graphic card is not necessary.... plz help...thnx
@Mevrok100 I'm not sure what you mean by an HD box. It has an HDMI port, and when I watch TV some channels are in HD (but not in the regular order that they should be). It probably depends with every cable provider.
i bought this monitor recently and i am kinda stuck with operating ps3 in high definition. it doesn't want to recognize the HD though its working perfectly with normal (RGB) ps cables. please help me with suggestions if u have
@shaabola2003 I've had this happen. Turn your PS3 off. Then when you turn it back on press and hold the power button on your PS3 until you hear a second beep. That should reset it again. You can also Google it because a lot of people have had problems doing this too.
@jschmitz23 thanks for the reply , i already tried this thing as well. the main problem i think is in the tv coz the "HDMI" icon is kinda untagged as if this option is disabled unlike the tv and external and pc icons.
thanks again and please give me any other suggestion or link if you have
@shaabola2003 Have you checked to make sure your connections are tight? Maybe it depends on which model of PS3 you have (mine is the "fat" version). I'm not totally sure though, but good luck finding out the solution!
@DavidLTG well i called the customer support and they asked to follow certain steps and it did not work as well and finally today they accept to receive it for inspection
@shaabola2003 you know i trying to use HDMI with my PC but i can't light this option; HDMI and it don;t see my pc but think its reason we can't use it is that HDMI is somehow disable.I read only in guide that i need at HDMI option give a name DVI PC but it didnt work. if i get new someting i will update too.:)
@jelle049 I haven't really done much gaming on here, but it seems fine to me. I'm not a huge gamer though so I probably don't notice things that other people would.
@jelle049 I recomend you a samsung monitor model that's specially for gaming is: 2233RZ... This monitor is 3D Technology which is just what you need.. Regards.
@IISwitchLazerFlipII It comes with an HDMI cable. You need to buy a mini display port to HDMI adaptor though (costs about $35) to have it work with a MacBook Pro.
this or the BenQ 23 inch, like does HDMI affect much ? like DVI ? as same quality ? i guess samsung this one is a bit more pricy cause it has Antenna support
@masni92 HDMI I believe is supposed to give slightly better quality video and it's nice so you don't have to have multiple cables to get audio and video. I believe it's the antenna support that drives the price up slightly on this monitor though but it works great!
you are just awsomely awome :) .. thx for the pic i realy needed that and after deep thinkin' i think i will settle for the 2.1 .. 1 last thing .. how good was the sound when playin a game like MW2 ?
@MrEitcho I've never played MW2 but the built in speakers are pretty crappy if you want decent sound. Hooking up a pair of speakers to it will help A LOT if you want good sound out of it!
@MrEitcho I know you can plug in speakers that just have the regular headphones jack into the back of it. I've plugged in my computer speakers into it and it works fine.
@MrEitcho All there is on the back is a headphone jack where I plugged in my computer speakers (2.1) and they worked fine. I really don't know if 5.1 will work, you'll have to check this out yourself. Here's a picture of the ports: twitpic com/2l5wn4 (you're going to have to put a "." inbetween twitpic and com since I can't post links.
@jschmitz23 so u are 100% sure that this monitor will get me sound via the external speakers (5.1 creative inspire) which have 2 jacks 3.5 one is green and the other is black when i play games with my xbox with no problems? plz reply as fast as u can since im getting this monitor and the speaker very SOON :)
@MrEitcho I have a PS3 but I do get sound perfectly fine. I connect my PS3 through HDMI (although it would work through the regular cables that are red, yellow, and white) and then plugged in my speakers (or headphones) and it worked fine for a 2.1 setup (which only has one cable). I'm not sure if you could get a receiver to make it work with 5.1 but that's going to be up to you to find that stuff out!
@NeoReloaded00 Since I don't have a 1080p HD camera it wouldn't do much justice to how it actually looks. The text doesn't looks fuzzy at all, it just looks like a regular monitor that you would use with any other computer. Just make sure you use a DVI cable and everything will be fine. VGA isn't supported for HD in Snow Leopard for some reason so you have to use DVI or HDMI. Trust me it looks great!
exellent im bout to gt this screen too, and i have a macbook 13" (white ones) and i was wondering if hdmi cable is needed and your video answer me ! thanks good video.
@tijeradepollo You don't need an HDMI cable but that is what come in the box. I believe Apple is now selling Mini Display Port to HDMI adaptors now (or they are available from a 3rd party vendor) but you can use DVI also. I had to buy a Mini Display Port to DVI adaptor and a DVI cable. I did that because I want to use the HDMI port for my PS3.
@monimoni0147 I'm not a heavy gamer so I really haven't been paying attention to look for anything like that. It doesn't seem to be a problem for me and I've played Grand Theft Auto on it several times. I went for this one since it has the TV input and I could use it as a monitor and a TV.
Hey monimoni, I have the p2370hd the one mentioned in the vid, and my friend has the p2370h. I personally think that the p2370hd because it has a tv tuner and the h model doesn't.
