The riff itself sounds quite cool, but you play it sloppy as anything. L2 Metronome - your timing is off and notes ring out from other strings.
Advice - turn the gain down (or off) and si there with a metronome, rigorously analysing every mistake, because there are many, timing especially - at the moment it's difficult to work out what you're trying to play.
As for the strings ringing out, one solution is to use your index finger as a damper. See Guthrie Govan's video to 'Fives'.
Thanks man. Yeah it does need polishing. After Dave posted his riff, I had a few hours to write a riff in response, practice it, record, and post to YouTube - so it was a bit of a rush! :-D
Very nice, i was pleasantly surprised cos the chord progression was a bit ordinary. Just shows why tapping will always be cool! Keep up the good work!!
Thanks, glad you liked it! It's simple, but I actually kinda like the chord progression (esp the Fmaj9) - kinda reminds me of Blind Faith or something. But yeah, tapping can give a whole new vantage point on a simple idea.
True with a caveat. Tapping is great when it's used to make music (see Adam Fulara for example). It's awful when used to add notes to a dull passage. So many people do this: hammer-on/pull-off and tap random notes on top.
Hey, thanks for the comment. Glad you liked it. Sometimes I think the better tapping riffs are written by those who don't like tapping riffs - not to say that mine is "better" or anything. Good to use this technique carefully, not as a filler. Peace!

Not my usual kind of music, however you are very talented and it sounds very good. Best wishes to you.

Thank you very much! I'm into a lot of different genres myself, as long as the music has good composition and talent. All the best to you too!

The tapping riff needs polishing but apart from that, I think it's a very good riff!
