  • If you're to spend the entire video showing the truck runninig on the dyno, you could at least post the results..LOL

  • nice vid. id love to get my 5.2 on a dyno. check out my vid

  • When you say crossover in the description what do you mean? And do you have shorty or long tube headers?

  • Sounds good, but looks like it is running a little fat. What did that stingy dyno read when you were on it? On that very same dyno on a 95*F day my 5.7 Hemi Ram with the only mods being headers and catless duals with SCT 93 tune by me made 285/301 on a 2nd gear pull.

  • somone had their facts wrong. about the hemi. they only dyno at 240-260 at the wheels.. idk about the newer ones. but every stock hemi on youtube dyno'd has been in the 240-260 range STOCK so this truck with a bad pleneum putting down 230 is a achievment.. fix that and you prob be running wut a stock hemi is doing! im curious wut my ram will run. 97 ss/t with a fed mods but 211,000 miles so idk...

  • hey man, i want to get edelbrock headers for my 2001 ram 5.9L. i have a flowmaster 40 so i just need headers. so my question is, if i get them will they fit to factory exhaust or will i have to get another Y pipe?

  • So how many ponies?

  • here we go again, another dyno video with no numbers.

  • That truck is wimpy

  • yeah i just took the cat off with a ypipe inseart increase in all around power!!!

  • nice truck man sounds mean whats the numbers?

  • AWESOME TUNE!!

  • hey so on your exhaust what did you do for the 02 sensors? if you deleted the cat and ran straight duals from the headers or did you get the aftermarket y pipe cat delete and how much power gain did you get out of it?

  • O2 sensors are just put in the pipe with welded on threaded bungs on the passenger side pipe. It has true duals and had two carsounds cats, one on each side of the trans, but gutted them both when one cat broke loose after only a couple thousand miles, said eff it was tired of dealing with the cats anyway. As for how much power I dont know it was never dynoed before/after, but felt a good seat of the pants increase at mid/upper rpm.

  • This a speedtek?? No hp numbers??

  • god i love the sound. how many RWHP did u get?

  • no BHP posted at end of video?

  • think u cld do a video of this one runnin' down the road? haha.

  • I might have some more vids this year. Things have been really tight and havent done much of anything in a long time, but Im starting something new and hoping that finances will settle back out soon.

  • Can you tell me where to order that Trans-Go Shift Kit? I can't find one to save my life man.

  • Jegs or Summit carry them, I think APS Precision can get them too, or Martin Saine Transmissions who makes an even better valve body than trans-go.

  • i want this truck so bad haha. it's so mean lookin'

  • @Sasquatch2010 i love these trucks

  • hell haha, this ones just sick lookin' idk y wish i had it lol i just stuck a hypertech max energy on mine and a trick flow tbs and k&N fipkII system and it'll get up now but i'm planni' on better heads, tranny w/ titanium geras and shift kit then idk

  • if you cant dodge it, ram it

  • Can you give a little bit of info about the suspension this truck is running? and did you have to remove the inner fender wells to run a drop this low? it looks sick and I might want to put my Indy down this low with some good suspension so it can handle the curves good :)

  • It's just a Bell-Tech 2-4 drop kit.

The opening pic is a photoshop of it slammed tough so dont go by that.

  • Ah the wonders of photoshop lol looks sick tho!

  • Yeah I'd like to bag the truck and get it that low but the truck is a sentimental piece and I dont want to hack it up so I'll stick with the simple sporty drop. I've done a few body mods but nothing I couldnt change back to stock with a grinder and a paintjob lol.

  • It still looks nice with the drop it has now...I have a drop but I have NO idea what it is...If you get a chance take a look at one of the vids of my truck and see if you can tell me how low it is? Purty Please haha....Anyway great Truck man!

  • how did you get your truck so low i got same truck wich im currently putting in a 360 and i put in a 4/3 drop and yours looks lower?

  • God man, I wld give my left nut for that truck. I mean, my dodge is nice, but that one is what i'm lookin forward to havin someday.

  • not a hemi. didn't put em in those years. 360 magnum

  • Much better than those 5.7 shit engines

  • 5.7 hemi engines are great and they have made the top ten best engine list since they came out. 5.2 or 5.9 are realy great engines, i have one myself but they never made the top ten engine list

  • is that a hemi

  • Comment removed

  • how much power did it make?

  • is that a speedtech in haltom city,tx?

  • Sure is!

  • Awesome truck. Sounds whicked too!

  • badass truck. mines a stock 5.9 reg cab short bed 4x4. shes itching for performance parts.

  • whatcha puttin down to the ground tq and hp...I just took my truck to the dyno to get retuned

  • ok i have a ram i have the one wheel peel to ihve heard positive traction can get rid of it i also want to chamge the gear ratio do u like the 4.10 also how do u like the lsd and where did u buy the thanks for the help

  • Auburn LSD unit is about the best you can get. I've got about 60K miles on mine and it's just now needing to be rebuilt. 4.10's are perfect for these trucks as well I wish they came factory with them, I have 4.10's in both my Rams. Truck feels a thousand pounds lighter on the throttle around town.

  • you can get a 4.10 w/ posi cheap at a junk yard.or findonne online or locally

  • Comment removed

  • Numbers are in the first comment here. As for the HS's I have not run them yet but plan to when I build the 408. I have heard they are the best ones made for the Magnum engines.

  • and how many inches did u drop it?

  • 2-4 drop

  • hey i got the same truck, i like those wheels. what are they called? and how much were they?

  • They are just stock Dodge SS/T or Indy Ram rims. They'll run you about 650 a pop at the dealership new, but you can find decent used ones online for around 150 each. The drop is a 2-4 BellTech with Nitro-Active shocks.

  • Love the sound of this Ram. Reminds me of the street stocks that run at my local speedway.

  • you should make another vid on the street man i like to see it rollin

  • thanks bro

  • No Problemo!

  • 2-4 BellTech drop, Hood was a Harwood Industries hood but they no longer make it (mine doesnt fit, nor the other two they gave me, and a month ago they said they were no longer going to re-mold it, they were dropping the whole thing and refund my money) Id recommend a Reflexxions Cowl hood anyway. Tires are Toyo Proxes ST 285-60-17's.

  • 3 questions how many inches in the front and the back 3"/4"? were did you get the hood? and last whats the tire size?

  • dodge ss/t was only 97-98 and the indy ram was 96 so there is no 99 ss/t

  • @dodge2289 this! im glad im one of the lucky ones to have the sst. its a great truck! will not sell it haha

  • That dyno brings back memories. Briefly, what were the stats on your runs and where did you take that 5.9L on the tach. My 5.9L builds all sorts of torque and ponies until it finds the 5600+ rpm range then falls flat on its face. That's the stock cam of course. Nothing else stock though including the 46RE.

  • how many gears it have?

  • 4 Speed Auto. 46RE Transmission, basically a new version of the bulletproof 727 TorqueFlite with an OD added in the tailshaft.

  • i have a dodge ram, and is there something i need to do when i take the cats off? i was told that it will run too rich and it will actually perform worse

  • Nope it wont change the fuel mixture the pre-cat O2 sensor adjust the Air Fuel mixture. Only problem you MAY see is a check engine light from the POST-Cat O2 sensor telling the PCM the cat's performance is out of spec, but neither my 96 nor my 2000 Ram ever threw a CEL for the missing cats. The Rams run a bit rich anyway cat or not, it's just that you can see it better on the dyno without the cat because the dyno's test probe is getting an untainted sample of exhaust gasses.

  • very nice u should run my 2000 dodge ram 1500 5.2 i love running against 5.9's the only one i havtn beat is my friends 99 ss/t he says he asnt added anything on it since he bought it but i say its bull cuz they come stock with like 350 horses and with all the stuff i have on my truck i dyno at 390

  • SS/T are just a stock ram with 5 more HP, SLT package, different exhaust, Rims, Stripe Package, and I think they had a a bit different suspension setup (shocks, swaybar, springs if I remember correctly). Nothing too special about an SS/T. They came stock with 250 HP, whereas the normal truck came with 245 HP. Mine dyno's about 285-290 HP at the flywheel. This netted me a best of 15.1 quarter mile time. Since then I have fixed a leaking plenum and added and SCT Tuner to the mix.

  • all that work for only 40 more hp.....

  • a i have a 2002 5.9 ram(the first year they changed the body) and i was wondering if u have the same rear as me because i was to lookin to chang the gears to 4.10s like u have

    Thanks

  • Sick as truck, i got a 95 myself. Where can i get myself a set of those rims? please reply, cuz i love those things.

  • Look on eBay or Craigslist for Dodge SS/T or Indy rims. These were off a wrecked 97 Indy Ram that were re-finished. If you go through the dealership, the price each was about 650 a rim, that's been a couple years ago, since two of mine have been replaced due to my wife having two wrecks in that truck.

  • check out ebay or a good salvage shop thats where i got mine

  • nice ive got a 99 v10 weve had since new weve beat so many lightnings and mustangs

  • yeah ford blows

  • yeah but i dont drive the truck much anymore now i drive my moms viper she gave it too me not too long ago so now i murder fords

  • Man, that's a bad truck. I love just the way it looks. Bad....

  • My 340 in my duster sounds the same way on the down rev.! That truck really sounds healthy considering you just did some "bolt on" mods. Imagine what it would do if you got a little deeper into it. Bad-ass!

  • Thanks! Im slowly getting it dialed in. May 10th I ran at Mopars at the Motorplex. Only could muster up a 15.1 all stock engine with some bolt ons. My SCT Tuner took a shit the night before so I STILL dont konw what kind of gains the SCT will get me. I'll find out eventually as I now have a recovery program to salvage my stock PCM, just gotta have time to load it and see if it works.

  • down rev sounds bad ass! You can sure tell that its an "LA" based engine!

  • Yeah I've always liked the idle down crackle it has, especially with no cats and true duals lol.

  • how does this shift kit work for you???

  • Great. Shifts hard and fast. It shifts so hard at part throttle it makes my dash creak lol.

  • yea you can tell by the way it shifts on the video seems really good, were will i be able to find one like this???

  • also where can i buy those rims

  • Dodge dealer for about 650 each. Or, if you are really lucky, eBay or Craigslist, and will most likely spend about 100 each for torn up cracked rims, and spend another 125 each to have them repaired and refinished. Got mine in 2000 for 75 each, all four cracked and beat to hell, and had them redone. Since then two have been replaced from wrecks with brand new rims from Dodge.

  • the truck in getting is a 95

  • hey ram this what size are those tires you have on that dodge im getting a single cab this weekend and i want that tire size on the truck

  • Toyo Proxes 285/60/17's all around on Dodge SS/T or Indy Ram rims. Be aware though, that these rims and tires do not work well with the 2000 and 2001 Rams because the front suspension changed those two years. Your front rims and tires will rub the lower A-Arm badly. I had to put steering stop bumps on my lower A-Arm to stop it from turning as far so it wouldnt ruin my rims.

  • which model muffler do you have and about the 2 4 drop what do you mean by rough

  • two Flowmaster 50 single in/out 2.5" mufflers on true dual exaust. And the ride is rougher meaning its alot stiffer than stock, it bounces you around in your seat alot more, big bumps will almost make you come up out of the seat lol.

  • what do you mean rough ride, like on the bumps

  • hey what drop do you have on this truck

  • 2-4 BellTech with Nitro-Active shocks. Rough as hell but looks bitchin'. At least I think it looks bitchin lol.

  • What do you plan on doing to the cosmetics of this truck? Anything like your 96?

  • Most of its listed in the About This Video nomenclature. Only things I have planned not listed are either to get Harwood to get me a hood that fits, or build my own custom hood (which I'd rather do since I have a KILLER idea), and possibly a Gaylords low profile tonneau cover. I do plan to do an upper half two tone of some sort, thinking Kandy purple, Tangelo, or Kandy Pearl Lime, once the body work is how I want it. Just need the time to do it!!!

  • only 228,,i figured it would be alot better than that,, sounds good and looks like its running good too..

  • Remember, that's rear wheel values. Add about 22% to those numbers for driveline loss, and you'll have about what the engine's putting out at the flywheel. About 280 HP and 392 ft/lbs from a totally stock 360 that's running rich and a blown intake plenum gasket. And runs 8.9's in the 1/8th, probably a very low 14, high 13 1/4 mile time, havent had it in the 1/4 yet though so dont know where it's at currently. Still faster than a stock Hemi Ram!

  • with only 228 at the wheel your no where near a stock hemi. stock hemi's put out around 270 at the wheel. I've got a lightly modified ram hemi regular cab (vids on channel) and i run the 1/4 in the mid to low 14's uncorrected (13's corrected for DA) on 20's with the stock 3.92's. Im at about 310 or so at the wheel. Your a long way off from stock, but even still i wouldn't venture to say your faster than a stock hemi ram (especially the regular cabs). Nice truck though. go dodge!

  • lloks like it burns a little oil?

  • Yep, it burns alot actually. Bout 4 quarts every 3K miles. Im almost certain I have a badly blown plenum gasket on the intake. Keep putting it off but one day I've gotta do something about it. Kept thinking I'd be pulling the engine sooner, but a new baby 9 months ago ruined almost all my car and truck hobby plans for a while. For now Im just tinkering.

  • chrysler v8s always sound the meanest. the have a very authentic american v8 bellow.

  • so true

  • nice iv got a ram too. what year is it 1999 2001 ?

  • sweet dude i like it

  • Thanks! I got more plans for this truck through the year. Hope to have some MUCH better dyno videos by end of the year.

  • How many miles do you have on the motor and tranny? Sounds good! What did you run on the dyno?

  • 85K miles.

Showing 228RHWP and 321RWTQ at about 22% driveline loss.

    Thanks!

  • Very nice sounding truck!
