  • it's like being stoned. Lovely and beautiful

  • Please stop comparing them to others. Music is an art, not a competition.

  • You took a room and you settled in. Washed off the chalk from your weathered skin. Daylight sleeper, bloody reaper, you took a room and you settled in...

  • this is a HIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • All of us walk so blind in the sun

  • this should be used for an intro for a film

  • I did the dislike... the song was so good it hurt me

  • shout out to all the people who don't comment on songs and get into debates. i appreciate you just coming for the music and not the discussion.

  • at arms length...I will hold you there..

  • best grp ever. Love from malta.

  • I can't help dancing to this song

  • Ugh, how can their music be so perfect? I love them to pieces.

  • in the beginning all the gnomes must fall from the sky.

  • Bitter Dancer is about a Vampire.

  • 0:00 - 5:55 is my favorite song EVER!!! :DDDDDDDD

  • I have the fucking chills.

  • Favorite track on the album. I love how it just kind of takes you away to another place, it's ridiculously beautiful.

  • I've literally never head a prettier song

  • 1 man just want to watch the world burn.

  • One of my favourite songs of the album. I love the Fleet Foxes. :3

  • 14.11 Fleet foxes,23.11.Incubus !!

  • Prepare to get jealous, here is my november:

    08: explosions in the sky

    16: orphaned land

    22: fleet foxes

    25: opeth

    30: low

In december, I will be able to say "the 80% of the concerts I've been was last month" ahah

  • @CugnoTheSwiss Maybe we'll meet the 22th and the 25th November ;)

  • This is the sound of our universe being created.

  • actually the 1 dislike is lady gaga :B

  • 3:38 OMFGEEEE amazing

  • At arm's length, I will hold you there...

    ....there

  • 2:06 - 4:06 is my favorite song EVER!!! :DDDDDDDD

  • the one dislike is from art Garfunkel, he's pretty jelous XD

  • But would you call that way of life triumphant? It sounds so positive in the music, but the lyrics are more hesitant or ambivalent--they don't seem to match.

  • Wow, this is like a more whimsical version of Simon&Garfunkel, love it!

  • Simply wonderful. Such a great Band!!

  • This is my favorite song on the album. Their vocals sound so much like Simon and Garfunkel, and I love their very different compositions. :)

  • I'm in a time warp

  • 1 person accidently had a mouse spasm while trying to like this video.

  • 1 person is a troll

  • @DomakuMakunara And someone, it seems, has no idea what a "troll" is.

  • @MastaRikta So you're the dislike????

  • anyone have interpretations for the end? It sounds uptimistic, but how can someone hold another "at arms length?" Impossible, no? You could touch or prevent a hold, but not hold. hmm. Like the beginning and love the middle though.

  • @Sough Actually, that bit is sort of my personal anthem. I have only 2 real friends, but 0 (as far as I care) enemies because I hold everybody at arms' length--meaning it's hard to get close.

  • FROM the musical tombs of 40+ years ago, (first) Brian Wilson/Beach Boys (circa "Smiley Smile,") then evolving into CSNY ("judy Blue Eyes," "Wooden Ships" ) resurrected in FF songs like this, early classic sounds come back to us - born again and transformed into something both familiar and brightly new. This gives cause to celebrate the present in music and hope for the future, even if the great majority of pop stuff stifles in an arid corporate wasteland. I'm 72, and LOVING THIS!

  • Incredible.

  • Sounds like David Crosby's voice from 2:08 to 4:03

  • @Tidjayable EXACTLY! Crosby Still Nash and Young style

  • "GOT OUTSTANDING"? Fleet Foxes really "hit it home" on this track, especailly the music. To me, it has an India, Native Indian, middle east & Brazilian feel to it, (all-at-once). The haunting, background chants are great! Good job!

  • Bearded Angels.

    'nuff said.

  • 0:00 to 4:15 it was eargasmic!

  • 3:12 Haunting!

  • moody blues!-- hell ya

  • Seems like Moody Blues has revived...

  • smoke + fleet foxes = heaven

  • This song is beautiful and sad. That woman must have been bad to him.

  • Think this is the one of the best songs in 2011

  • Can I just say this song is now up there with my 10 all-time favourite tunes. It takes a lot to get up there, but they cut it in an instant.

  • "Just as the sand made everything round, just as the tar seeps up from the ground...bitter dancer, ever turning."

    *chills*

  • fleet foxes are more than just music, they are describing in pictures too its like they paint colours with notes

  • @MrSebano That was a beautiful thing to say. =)

  • bitter dancer sounds like simon and garefunkle*

  • bitter dancer sounds of simon and

  • Thought I'd brag to a little. Just bought Fleet foxes last two albums on cd and vinyl. Not sure if I should open the records, don't want to de-value them. Ah screw it, I'll just buy two more.

  • A shimmering beauty that at times takes your breath away..

  • This song is ridiculously beautiful. It's soothing to my ears. Songs like this are good to have on hand.

  • Fleet Foxes should just change their name to "Chills". 'Cause that's what I got all the way through this damn song. Love 'em!

  • Yes. This one is very CSNY. Probably the most CSNY track on the album. Not bad though.

  • Its so Crosby Stills Nash-esque!! Theyv'e filled the shoes of a second album for sure

  • There they are! Now thats the Fleet Foxes I know and love, that I've been looking for in this new album, the harmony and incredible instrumental diversity that I long for. I feel like the lead vocals and harmonies aren't as strong as they were in previous works, minus this song, which is BRILLIANT.

  • Best harmonic song on the album. Brilliant.

  • I love this one. The harpsichord reminds me of some songs by the Zombies, particulary the song "Changes."

  • At arms' length, I will hold you there.

  • Lots of CSN&Y here...Love it!

  • Just creamed my pants folks....

  • This is the best song on the album.. Every time i hear it i get chills.. Beautiful

  • *sound not song

  • At first I didn't like that they changed their song. But now I can't stop listening to their music. The harmonies are incredible!

  • 0 people have no taste :P

  • @spifflocalypse It is now 1 person, and he probably has no ears.

  • @spifflocalypse Well done.

  • they've gone more progressive with this album.. this and the shrine/the argument have several individual sections each with different moods and rythmns. i see this track as a folk symphony =) i love the way it switches and changes

    4:05 - 5:55 <3 BLISS

  • @analfrost Same thoughts here! And the part you've highlighted!! God, I love it. Thinking about making a ringtone from it. =)

  • I hear a lot of different influences, but mostly they sound like fleet foxes.

  • @grimdimly america

    :B

  • @grimdimly orly never heard of them.

  • "you took a room and you settled in"

    "daylight sleeper, bloody reaper"

fav lyrics from this song. sound kind of haunting in a way to me.

  • That man's face to the left of the center circle on the album cover's image reminds me of Thom Yorke's mug. Nice!... This album is amazing!

    Respect.

  • @MrOrganiic: The one in the upper right hand corner freaks me the fuck out. Is that supposed to be Satan, I wonder?

  • @MrOrganiic Dude, I thought the exact same thing! And as a huge Radiohead fan, I think I'm gonna pretend that it IS Thom Yorke :P

  • Last album was more 'churchable'. This one is more medieval. That's the feeling I get so far.

  • @soueubanano Y'know, as vague as it may sound, I really like your description! I think I get what you mean, and I agree.

  • @spifflocalypse glad someone agrees with me :)

  • I LOVE how the drums kick in...the vocals. one of my 12 favourites so far...

  • My favorite so far.

  • fleet foxes makes me feel weightless

  • Bliss.

  • sounds like brian wilson (smile bits) meets csn%y..meets early Genesis.

  • @mugwamp4 isnt there a brian wilson in the bare naked ladies? or is that a song by them...

  • @raggdwood i think thats a song by BNL as a tribute to the great man...

  • kind of reminds me of jethro tull

  • this song is like the 'your protector' of this album. absolutely awesome.

  • my fav so far

  • I Love this song!!!!!!!!!!
