I'll be honest this is a good game but hard to pick up and very hard to master.I remember the first time I played this and it was just too hard.

i have a question, how do u unlock all the other 10 racers and the last set of tracks?

@greyice0000: You have to complete Story Mode on Hard to get the "Magic Seagull" machine, and complete chapters on Very Hard to get the rest.

To unlock the AX tracks, you have to place first in the Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, and Diamond Cups on Master difficulty.

@greyice0000: No kidding; it's an exercise in patience, especially with the Story Mode. I've had the game for about 4 years, and I finally unlocked the AX tracks last week. Still working on the AX machines, though.

Of course, if you can find an F-Zero AX arcade cabinet, you can just upload all that data from the machine to you memory card. This is an endeavor in itself, as there aren't too many of those machines in North America.

i have to say, for only practicing one track, ur really good at this...i miss playing this game. i still remember each track that u can run the max speed setting on

well you say the steering is very sensitive, but u also picked the guy with prob the best steering so duh its gonna steer alot with little motion, if you would have picked like blue falcon the steering would have been diff

Nah Blue Falcon has better steering. I don't like Wild Goose because he always slides before he turns.

I can't believe it, you only practice once in one track? and now you can beat the Standard Mode Cups?, that amazing, I have barely defeated that mode in the 4 cups, needed to race in practice mode more than 31 laps to learn the controls and the shape of the tracks, I feel so envy right now. :(

As for story mode, I don't know about that. I mean, you could beat GP before it if you think that's best. But I beat it before beating all of GP, and it was fine.

Excellent game. Without a doubt my favorite GCN game.

Just be prepared for a lot of frustration. One tip, don't even touch story mode until your an expert (or close to that)
