I came here at night as well a couple of weeks ago, and it's the best skyline i've ever seen in my life, it felt as if it was a portrait or a painting rather than real life. I know one thing, if i ever propose, I will propose in Tsim Sha Tsui, facing the skyline at night, just breathtaking ;)
I never visited a more beautiful place. Utterly fabulous and the level of public transport services there is just the best of any city on Earth. Awsome. Go see it if you can... Kowloon is great too. I love it's zoo garden and back-ally markets. The people are very courteous and helpful to outsiders. One guy grabbed me when I tripped and he stopped me from falling. Here in London bystanders would just watch and laugh if you fell over. Five Star + city.
man I miss HK, the best city in asia, working there for 2 years was awesome. now in usa, atlanta it stinks without star ferry at night, miss mrt as well, night time was best in HK losing my cantonese as well.

We were looking at the amazing Hong Kong harbor view from our room at the Regent (now Intercontinental) during Christmas Eve 2000. We were so taken, we didn't leave our 10th floor room for 6 hours watching the lights on the skyline come on...it is an incredible place.
woow are you in kowloon? hong kong at morning is more quiet than hong kong at night. even at midnight people are still walking!!! maybe because of the population of china which is around 3 billion!!!!

One of my favorite memories from Hong Kong was riding the Star Ferry at night. Thanks! (although... it did look a bit different in '89.)
