  • used to loooovveeee this game....

  • I remember having an unbeaten streak with my created boxer here until i ran into that Crushah I think who knock me out in 3 rounds, I also lost to "Ffft" Phil, had to create a southpaw boxer to outsmart those.

  • The PC speaker music was way better than this MIDI crap!

Gracias

  • Exelente juego, lo jugaba horas

  • this game actually faster that fight night.

  • omg, memories, i spent so so so SO many hours playing this game, loved it SO much

    with that classic midi...

    awww

i wanna play it again now :_D

  • oh man that music, makes me feel young again X)

too bad I can only find the EA version :/

  • for anyone who wants this abandoned game abandonia has it.

  • Pasé cientos de horas muertas de pequeño jugando a este juego, que recuerdos ... Lo que más recuerdo era su increíble música de introducción.

Anda que no exprimí mi 486 SX a 25 Mhz con SoundBlaster Pro con este juego.

  • this thing ran even on 4.77Mhz XT machine, those were the days!

  • you can taunt your opponents

  • DOS gaming was on the most top of my ignore list back in 1990... these 286 nerds introduced games that never run 100% due to sheer amount of configurations on this non-gaming platform... but who cared, not me... we had ZX Spectrum, C-64, Sega Master System, Genesis, and then... Playstation which totally swept off this PC rubbish...

  • Epic music and crowd noise!

  • Nice! Excellent game! I used to play this alot lol.

  • I used to love this game. Just been looking at the old games me and my brother used to play. This, Speeball 2 and Commander Keen :-D

I didnt have any speakers on my computer though so I only got a few sounds and they were all just beeps and blips from my PC.

My player always retired before I became 1st though :-/

  • Man my 386 didn't have a sound card, never heard the music like this

  • This version of this game was the original and his music are LEGENDARY, other versions suck!

  • Ring King is the gay boxing

  • Those animation are motion captured.

  • I bought this for 8 bucks at the mall in rochester MN. I was 12!!! I wish i could go back.

  • omg i had this game on a floppy 1.44 meg ... hacked lol

  • omg this looks better than the old runescape graphics!!

  • I remember playing this game as a little kid with my dad. Oh man, good times.

  • Totally adlib goodness.

  • 4D?

    WTF?

  • Try the Electronic Arts version. It's very different. Different music, intros and shit.

  • where can i get it? Is that the one where it has music with guys yelling "work!" during the gym workout? Thanks!

  • does anyone know of a game similar to this boxing game.. i mean in terms of realism (and the first person view).. couse i havent seen any good boxing games since this one.. and this is a 1990 game..

  • Knockout kings was similar, but dind't hav ethe same realistic game play, ithink this is /was one of a kind! even to this day!

  • Almost.

Panza kick boxing was also very realistic but came out just after this.

    Both classic games.

  • Is anyone knows where to download the version 1.1 or 1.2 of this games???it was release in 1992 for the 4d boxing the upgrade version.

  • The intro song is legendary :)

  • so extremely true.

  • VERANOS ENTEROS CON MI PRIMO!!!

  • i played this game back in high school...any idea where i could find one online?

  • Do a google search for "the underdogs", should be the first result.

  • @lionheartjason

You can find this game in abandonia

  • The Amiga version was so much better.

  • Hey I am afraid you turned off the digital effects in setup, because sound fx are actually not so bad in game! (I've just played it:))

  • You're right, dunno why I never thought to check the game setup. I knew the effects sounded odd. =P

  • Este juego es genial!!!

  • This game is awsome!!! You could do some massive combos in this game.......I want to play it!!!

  • Ufffffff, me acuerdo de este juego cuando tenia unos 12 años, aya por el 91, me encantaba. Consegui ganar a the champ con mi boxeador que le puse como nombre el asesino.

  • I loved this game. I had a different version though... this isn't the music I remember.

  • You remember the PC Speaker version. It's similar but that beginning starts off with a few bass beats first.

  • Not exactly. The one I remember started with a Super PunchOut opening rip off with some boxer taping up his hands, lifting up his head, marching into the ring, and the bell ringing. The music was completely different.

  • I agree! I had this game when I was like in 9th grade.. The music with my old 8-bit soundblaster was definitely different. I am running it on a P-75 with Crystal sound card (sb compatible) from DOS 6.22 .. was disappointing not to have the music I remember, but still a kick ass game!

  • Thanks for putting this up; I'd wanted to hear the theme tune for years. Is there any chance you could post a version letting the music run longer?
