  • which program did you use to cut the midi?btw.you are awesome

  • @greatpcfan Thanks! If what you need is to open a GM file and edit to cut bars, just use any MIDI sequencing capable workstation like Cakewalk, Nuendo, Digital Performer, Cubase, EnergyXT, etc. Otherwise let me know what you meant with "cut" :) Cheers. Bernardo.

  • @bernardofourcade i have the the MIDI of in the cage.but i want only the sound of this solo.so how can i 'trim' the MIDI (anything like mp3 cutter,is there a MIDI cutter)so that i can have only this part on my keyboard

  • Really good, now just to note down all the chords! I got the rest in a score.

  • Very nice job! In the Cage solo. Probably my favorite keyboard solo EVER! Had to have been a BEAR to learn???

  • @tagtenor Thanks!

  • EXCELLENT!!>....woow...tony would be proud....just one observation....ur lead needs more attack...little too slow

  • @aarmington Thanks, I've now updated to ProsoloVst 2.0. Sounds improved a lot.

  • love that lead sound. and really nice crisp solo! check out mine!

  • It is unfortunate that the mellotron and pro soloist samples are way out of tune with each other at some points. Perhaps someday someone will be able to create good samples of the two that can work together at some point. Nonetheless, thanks for the demonstration of the use of software synths to emulate the sounds of old genesis songs, I don't think anyone else has used all three of these software programs at the same time in one video before!

  • @rizz7604 Thanks!

  • Then when you record with your camera have the speakers pretty loud so that the camera also records the sound. Then when you edit the video you can sync up both the camera audio and the original that you recorded because the sound profile will be identical in specific points. You can get it to be within .05 sec of sync which is good enough..If it's not clear you can PM me and I'll explain better. That's how I did it on my video and you can get rid of the out of sync...

  • Nice video. I was actually surpeise to see very few videos of Forte on the Internet. When I was thinking of buying Forte I couldn't find any. I have actually made a bunch of videos playing Saga tunes since that is the sound I was looking for. I actually setup my songs by keeping the same scene during the song and changing the midi channel so that the sound changes can be instant.

A way to get around the synch problem is to use a program like "freecorder" TBC

  • Nice, the first prosolovst video on youtube
