  • What's with all the missing frames? How long are y'all taking between shots?

  • i just found one in the nickel yesterday, i'm glad i did my research. this sounds like a great buy, and one that i can pass on to one of my sons, unless of course i can find another one! :)

  • @LakeTahoeHunting for more accurate shooting, if you pull the hammer back manually, the trigger goes back a lot and so the trigger is really sensitive

  • @ddavid1106 Thanks for answering the question -

  • use your left thumb to cock the hammer, and dont loosen the grip with your right hand, you will improve accuracy, cause your grip wont shift, and you will be more consistent. Just a little tip from cowboy action shooters.

  • @WellEnDoweded - Thanks for the positive feedback.

  • aren't you afraid of the gas from the cylinder gap? your thumbs just chillin there lol.

  • @MrAbekabe Not a bit. Never been a problem.

  • Awesome! My Father -in-law gave me his, it was his fathers. He told me to pass it down. On mine it says : "Made in the 200th year of American Liberty" got for Christmas. Can't wait to shoot it!

  • @6690698 Thanks - Very nice tradition to carry on. I will pass my Dad's on when the time is right. Have you had a chance to shoot it yet. They are the perfect gun - just the right size.

  • I want that gun... It's reminds me of Police Academy...

  • My dad has the one my grandpa gave him, i hope he can pass it down to me.

  • @Patriot725 - One day I will pass this one on - maybe to my grandson.

  • Why would you shoot single action style?

  • @Roflzmahwoflz accuracy

  • @Roflzmahwoflz to lessen trigger weight

  • @Roflzmahwoflz It is more accurate to shoot single action.

  • @Roflzmahwoflz better accuracy, when you shoot double action, as you pull the trigger gun will inevitably move a little bit

  • @LakeTahoeHunting because the amount of force to pull the trigger back lessens, making it easier to pull.

  • @Chainsawwed Thanks for answering this question - Right on

  • Out of the dozen or so revolvers I've owned, the Security-Six 4" is by far my favorite.

Some of my large frame S&W guns feel balanced better but, the Ruger seems to be easier to recover and more accurate when firing rapidly, especially with hot loads.

    Great vid.

  • @phizgp Thanks for the comment. I only have 3 revolvers - Agree that the Ruger is my fave. My brother-in-law has a 44 mag revolver. It's just a bit too big to shoot accurately but it definitely packs a bigger punch. I think the 357 is just right.

  • i want this gun so bad, one with a 4 in and a stainless.

  • Nice video. I just got one yesterday. Can't wait to shoot. BTW, I think we go to the same range.

  • They are pretty similar on the inside.

The range I go to is in California.

    Where is your range?

  • OC Indoor?

  • just bought one . I love the gun !

  • Yeah-It is a little more accurate with the lighter ammo, but for home protection, etc. you only need to hit a target within 25 feet or so. The 357 has so much more stopping action than the 38 that is a more desireable round. I shoot 38 ammo in the gun just to stay in practice at a slightly lower cost, but I also shoot the same amount of 357 so I am used to the recoil, noise, flash, pressure from the blast, etc.

  • just bought one for $250 almost new , love it!! I'm more accurate using the .38 spcl. than the 357 mag. but i love the kick more than my accuracy.

  • @malandro956 AGREE - I also love the kick and the flash and the bigger BOOM you get with the 357 ammo. That is pretty much why the mags are more popular. They are BAD but in a good way . . .

  • Nice Gun!

  • Thanks, my Dad gave it to me a couple of years ago.
